2.5 hrs would have got you there as well, but with a lot less chance if hurting someone else...

You can also actually eat the fish you catch. Many of us sport fishermen do it. God doesn't mind. It was his idea.

Has it occured to you that this tiny stream is actually where the cuttroat are spawning and for that reason should be left alone? If so, then shame on you. Leave them alone

Cannot stand the shark skin type fly lines. That sound is akin to fingernails on a chalkboard..... Can't watch any more.

The duck gave me a big smile, lovely location. It's a form of fishing I've never tried, but I know there are some good fish to be found within 100km. Thanks from Australia.

My rig is a 12v refrigerator, Jackery, solar, with backup the car's 12v. I set the cold side of the refr temp to 10 deg. The not so deep freeze will hold meats longer than the few days a cooler would.

Forgive my ignorance, but this looks like bear country? Is that a problem if it is? Gun, spray, both or none?

I do not flyfish like this person. Every cast upstream? Doesn't drift downstream to extend?

Wow brings back memories of when I was young trout fishing in Vermont for brookies and small mouth bass in White river . The brook trout weren’t as big as what your catching there but the small mouths were good size and lots of fun to catch on a fly rod .

I know a few streams in Idaho that have better than average trout but they are not those that you just drive up to either.

@@LooknFishy Thanks for the answer. Love your videos man. I finished the video after I asked the question and was able to see the number on your rod but forgot to say I answered my own question. Honestly I should have known since you almost always use 3 or 4 weight.

Hey Drew. I was thinking about getting a pistol. I’m a total novice and concerned about accidentally firing it while fishing. Have you done a review of your firearm and how you carry it? Also, what are your thoughts on Sig Sauer P226? Figured you may have experience with it in Navy. Thx man!
@jeffersonstowers53215 күн бұрын
Not Drew here, but some experience with guns. Instead of just buying one, I would highly recommend first taking a basic handgun course. Almost every decent gun shop offers them. You will be able to use and compare different pistols and revolvers, and get an idea which best suits you. I started carrying when my wife started fishing with me, a S&W Shield 9mm. Probable inadequate for grizzly’s, but fine for 2 legged predators.

We have similar styles. Dry-droppers, backhand casts, cable tie reinforced net. Suggest you stick a Tenkara rod in the pack, just to mix it up a little

I live in North Idaho and I have seen several of your videos in Idaho. Just curious how you find these places. While there are some good streams fairly close to me, I don't know if I have ever found anything quite like this video. At the end I noticed you said it was quite a hike getting out of there. I'm 75 years old, so while I'm pretty healthy, my legs aren't as strong as they used to be. So would appreciate any suggestions you may have. Always enjoy your video's. Thanks for sharing.
