The tactic is simple. If you buy the aura item, they can't have the aura item.

@@muffinman2546 That actually makes sense lel

@Joe Gott I think it's scripted to put the item back in the neutral shop's item pool whenever you sell that kind of item, but I could be wrong. I don't have the up-to-date reforged version to confirm this. :(

"Human is just such a trash race." Please explain in greater detail. Perhaps make a video with proposed buffs? For our collective entertainment of course.

I feel the problem in general isn't necessarily a "Needs buff/nerf" issue. You can't really tweak numbers to fix them. The problem with Human as a race is just that their army is so all over the place in strats that they have nothing to really commit to. The only thing Human excels at is sieging bases when you're already ahead, and fast expo. Other than that, name one unit Human has that the other races don't do, but better. Air? Frost Wyrms, Chims, and Wyverns are just better in almost any way. Gryphons aren't TERRIBLE, but they just have an innate problem with being pathetically squishy, along with Gyros, Frontline units? Orcs have Tauren, Nelf has Bears, UD has Abominations. The list goes on.. Honestly, here's what I would do, as a game dev graduate: Get rid of: - Flying Machines (Gyros). Weak air control that you have to fully commit to just to have some kind of presence. Better off building Rifles for AA. - Spellbreakers. VERY niche unit that only excels against other Human players. They're about as strong as a wet paper towel as a frontline unit, and they hit like they're tossing Styrofoam. - Priests. They're kinda trash really. Why invest all that into priests, who eats food and could potentially just feed an enemy hero, when you can simply buy healing scrolls and that gets the job done immediately? Replace: - Flying Machines with a bigger flying unit that can hold it's own without having to mass about 50 food worth for them to actually make a difference. - Spellbreakers with some kind of Blood Elf wizard that can cast damaging spells. Maybe even a weaker version of Firebolt, as in instead of 100dmg/2sec stun, 75dmg/1sec stun. Good for interrupting things and can help control more of the battle without feeling like it will stun lock. - Siege Engines, Sorry, but almost nobody ever builds them unless you're winning so hard, they're turtling in base. I was thinking of tweaking them to function more like a "mobilized Orc Burrow", you load units into it and it will attack faster the more you have inside, and allow Barrage to hit land units. This way you can protect those squishy casters that get 1-shot, and allow them to be useful during base fights aside from free exp. - Priest with a more Blood Elf variant of the Knight. Sort of a throwback to the old school version of Paladins from WC2. Have them cost more in food, but they will be nice, tanky, frontline field medics that can also help serve a purpose beyond chilling at base. Have them gain a new version of "Heal", where instead of the original, it will feel more like an expensive Holy Light, except it can't be used on Undead units for damage. Basically, they can fully heal a unit by dumping "x" mana per health restored. Very good for helping frontline from being burst down, or to keep a key unit alive in the fight. Then since it's no longer an auto spell, you can keep Inner Fire on auto. Tweaks (realistically... because we all know Blizz ain't gonna fix the inherent problems with Human): - Knights need more HP, something pretty bad. They're fast, they hit pretty hard, but my god, they're basically trash for their cost. I'm thinking 950HP (1,100HP with Animal War Training), and change their armor type to Medium. Make them feel like frontline fighters, rather than easy targets for Frost Wyrms and Chims. Just in reference, Tauren have 1300HP, Abominations have 1175, and Mountain Giants have 1600. Still the weakest in HP overall, but now they'll be able to take enough hits to feel like they're worth the cost. - Footmen need to either be cheaper, or more cost effective. They are the weakest tier 1 unit in the game. 1. They're melee. 2. Quite expensive really, 135g per and you don't get a lot of mileage out of them, and 3. Defend is awful. I'd like to see them have 475HP (So +55HP), and 3 armor (9 max). Change defend to give 30% damage reduction to ALL attacks, and take out the ranged attack reflection. Now Footies are viable, especially with the new version of Defend. - Priest Heals should scale with the training. Make it cost more, but instead of 5 mana/25HP, make it cost 5/10/15 mana, and heal for 25/35/45HP. It's such a shame really that the heals don't really make a lot of impact except to recover from battles, and only if you won it. Having them take on more of the role of a field medic will do them some justice. Then it'll be worth having the priests in the battle, than chilling at the base because you don't want them to feed exp because they're useless otherwise, as they have 0HP and literally 0 armor and do no damage at all really.

@@point-five-oh6249 Great suggestions. I too feel that the footman, knight, priest and spellbreaker are underwhelming. You got alot of points right. Sadly I cannot offer more words as I don't play this game competitively. I just watch Wtii. it is lovely to dream...
