I think Gozu and Mezu (the names of the two Hell/HFIL ogres from Dragon Ball Z filler) are students of Jazu from the sequel and KOFXI. King Lion and King Leo are Shishioh and Shin Shishioh, respectively, from NGBC. They are not separate, real/fake characters, but different transformations of the same character (think Super Saiyan or like when Rugal takes off his coat).

Savage reign is definitely fun but you should try Kizuna Encounter. Plays faster and the controls are streamlined a bit to have a more responsive feel and inputs that aren't ridiculous for basic or special moves .

You should definitely Play *"Fatal Fury: Wild Ambigition"* (if you have a PS1 that is), That Game is by far has the Hardest Geese Howard in the Fatal Fury series (also the Hardest Boss in SNK 3-D Fighting Games).

Okay, I can't lie. That hanging guy in the back of that joker stage had me laughing. That's just a funny thing to put i the background since its so distracting. But don't fret Shoryu. When i first played Guilty Gear it took me all night to beat Justice. I eventually called my friends over and we all took turns trying lol. Those older games made their bosses maddening on purpose! That's the type of boss you come back to fresh with a character who probably can be used to spam him to death. It's going to feel good to finally get that win, just like when i finally beat justice!...days later lol.

That also has an interesting arena system where it feels like a cross between Pit Fighter and KOF in some ways.

Hello Shoryu! Greetings from Romania. I would suggest for king leo to switch planes in order to get close to him to grapple him. Just try to spam that. Almost defeated him that way. Btw, for this game did you use an arcade stick or a controller? If you used a controller did you do the moves by d pad or left analog? Trying to understand my mistakes better. Keep up the videos, Really apreciate the time and effort. I especially like the lore parts. I remember when you said shion was a boy(that was truly unexpected). Have a nice one.

i just love the pixel art of the classics, it is a shame indies can't reproduce this quality of sprite work. also, if you want some real challenge.. try World Heroes Perfect

It's because they take a lot of time to make, hell it's even very noticeable in Mugen, with some characters just getting some pixels deleted rather than being given new sprites for animation, and it's what nearly sent SNK to bankruptcy

@@SaikouShiva what nearly killed SNK is HD sprites, not sprite work itself,, the amount of details needed to be done on an HD sprite is much more time and energy consuming than doing it for a 320p or SD resulotion. SNK will have no problem doing low res pixel art work like that of NeoGeo, but going High Definition is where the troubles lay

@@bassram3337 That is true, but regardless of whether the sprites are HD or not, games nowadays just tend to opt for 3D models, making it easier on them but in the process lose originality. It's an art lost to time Also quick side note, I really love what they did with The Rumble Fish, where characters' limbs and clothing are all seperate sprites, giving them a sort of 3D feel to them, it's really impressive.

Many forgotten characters in this game, I would like to see again Carol and Joker, or at least a stage in KOFXV with some characters from this game in the background, just like the stage of 3 count bout. BTW, as a child the cop always cause me a lot of laught, because his name is Gordon, and in spanish (my native language) that word sounds almos like "gordo" that literally means "fat man", but adding the "n" at the end to form "Gordon" it sounds like a word to enfitize that somebody is really really fat, I always wonder if SNK did this on purpose.
