Hi Everyone! Today I'm unboxing 2 figures for you! The first is Misato, a figure I've been dying to get my hands on since I pre-ordered it. Is she too small? We find out today! I also Unbox an absolute HOLY GRAIL figure that I managed to snag off Amiami for an absolute STEAL of the price, I still can't believe she's in my collection! I hope you all enjoy today's video!

I think Misato looks great! Also getting kind of tired of people complaining about how 'small' MegaHouse non-scale figures are (not you but I've seen a lot of people being really obnoxious about it lately). The prices are fair for the size, the boxes ARE compact and the paint is usually flawless. They also do a lot of cool designs, and the figures being smaller means more space for more figures. People are too hard on MH. Anyways, congrats on your grail! 😊

Congrats on Maka! She was my grail, I managed to snag her on AmiAmi preowned at like 3:30am nearly a year back for under $300, I never had such an adrenaline rush!! She is so rare to see pop up and sells insanely on the aftermarket, I wrote off ever getting her until AmiAmi pulled through, Kudos to them for her still being relatively reasonable in price compared to aftermarket. Treasure her, she's lovely!!

Misato is a very good character, she is like a old sister for Shinji. But. I prefer Pen pen. Pen pen is litteraly the best character of the entire series, best psychology development, best scenario, best scenes , and most pretty and badass design and skill.

Oh wow I am SO glad to see Misato looking this fine! I have the Kotobukiya one and am eagerly awaiting this one, but I do agree with you: we don’t get enough Misato. Asuka has tons, Rei gets enough, Mari…but Misato is the character I really love. This figure was a no brainer, instant PO. Just how cool would it be if we got a Radio Eva Misato?😭

I was stressing out just watching you force that scythe in. I got her last month and it took me nearly 15 minutes to slowly get that in with the hair dryer trick. There are A LOT of videos of people snapping the arm off during the scythe assembly. 😱😱

I must say this, Animbae, Daijoububu, and Gwyn Collects are my trifecta of figure collecting channels. They always produce the type of channel content that is interesting, opinionated, honest, fun, and what matters most their channels have a heart, unlike the truly popular You Tube channels that are just soulless pits of monetization. With Gwyn here her passion is plastered all over her channel. It’s fun to see how deep of a figure whole she has fallen into. So deep that I wonder if her dad sees this and then asks her, “Why are you in your nighties?”, lol. I guess this is a new type of unboxing figure video: risqué unboxing video, lol. I mean no insult. Just waiting for mine to come via courier, just waited for a decent Misato figure since mid 2000's after meeting Tiffany Grant over dinner with her then partner and Spike Spencer. So excited. Bonus is that Pen Pen is the real deal. I do have a smaller one with the familiar chest scar which I love too.

Misato is pretty close to my 1/8 figures. Really wish she were bigger. The figure itself is beautiful and maybe one of the best Misato faces of any figures I've seen. I love the Maka figure!!!!!!

i think i saw one of these maka's go up a couple months ago and i was so bummed i wasn't able to snag it, but i'm so happy for you ! soul eater is one of my first anime and still remains in my top 10 to this day. i'm really hoping maybe they'll come out with some more scales in the future. i totally understand the rush of finding a grail, it happened to me not too long ago with the srdx miyazawa edition suigintou from rozen maiden. i got her for $70 including shipping off mandarake after not being able to find her for any less than at least $300. sometimes the stars align in the best ways.

I got myself a Meiko Shiraki (Prison School) catsuit ver. figure for absolute steal compared to other prices. Still expensive as hell for what you get but was like 200 euro's cheaper than average price of like 4-5-600 euro's for new or mint pre-owned. Mine isnt new, box is damaged a bit but figure itself is complete and nearly perfect!

I just looked up the figure on ebay and I saw a few for over 1,000 which is insane. I recently received the chiaki 1/4 bunny and am waiting on 14 more anime figures with 9 of those being 1/4 bunnies. Either this month or next month I will start with the azur lane 1/4 collection.

Sometimes those "absurd" sky-high bids don't get realized by the seller even though the auction house keeps a record of its sale prices for all viewers to see. Don't know YAJ situation but I used to get crazy bids on past eBay sales for certain diecast 1:64 truck and 1:87 HO-gauge replica 'brass' locomotive or passenger car releases. The train people followed thru their purchase bid 90% while the truck collectors not as well. If I didn't get paid by 4th day after auction end on a crazy end bid I knew high bidder was a ghost, no show. Other times it's buyer remorse and windfall item gets returned before month end for refund (tis why restocking fees exist, it's not always seller greed re returns). My experience selling online: it's like handling an upset live action rattlesnake...Sky high win bids are to be equally feared as welcomed. Misato figure: I added her also to my collection. Thanks for open box display. It gives me a good idea what I'll be receiving soon (AmiAmi). I PO'd mainly for Penpen. It's a shame pengy-san's not totting a beer can with that pose. That little detail add would've been a definite plus! Megahouse outer box sleeve and figure box: think of it as just another added layer protection for shipping. Packing paper doesn't jostle, rub against figure box leaving surface rub marks while in transit to you. AmiAmi order fails: happens to me also, having to redo order even for the mundane figures. Don't have that issue with other Japanese vendors unless I change my mind during order process. Purchasing options: Paypal is rounding up (3%?) how much they are charging for currency crossover transactions (yen to CAD, yen to USD, vice versa etc.). Because of that nonsense I use my cc exclusively (my cc doesn't nail me here and my cc coverage is superior to PP) Congrats on getting 1 of your grails, Gwyn. ^ ^

Insanity. No wonder that Maka reached grail status, 2014 release that was close to $70? Top that with inflation (scaled figures are pretty much starting out at $130+), plus OOS(out of stock) and OOP (out of print) - (if somebody wanted to know what those acronyms were). Figure is gorgeously detailed, now knowing the fact of fire force is to soul eater, of course my heart and wallet would now be empty if I attempt to buy it at those prices
