I can’t believe I hooked THIS while ice fishing....

This day of ice fishing was just full of surprises! Explored a new lake a couple hours north and ran into a few species of fish I had never caught through the hardwater before. 2lb test and an ultralight noodle rod meant some drag pulling fun. Hope you enjoy!

Glad you were actually able to find ice this season! I only got to hit up Sucker Lake once, and it seems like that will be my only day out on the hard water...ahh well, soon time for regular season!! Tight lines dude!

Have yet to see some catch a sucker through the ice. Weirdest catch for me was a flounder, skate and eel through the ice.

Through the ice? That’s crazy. Was it in Canada? I’m aware that there are a couple places to ice fish the sea there, like Saguenay Fjord in Quebec

@@TheMasterCaster out on tidal part of the kennebecasis River while fishing for red hake and silver hake(whiting) after they spawn. Someone pulled out a dog fish on the same spot as well.

@@TheMasterCaster it's soon to be a thing of the past. The rivers just froze couple weeks ago here and the fish are few and far between.
