As a nurse, especially an ER nurse, the blood with the IV is normal. Some IV kits don't have it to where it prevents blood from coming out before the pigtail can be attached. I always warn my patients that it may get messy. Also, they should've warned you that IV contrast is warm and makes you feel like you peed your pants, even though you didn't. I'm sorry you went through all of that.

You could’ve died from pneumonia. It was probably the original sickness and your flights make it worse. The throw from the bull was a blessing in disguise. Bad decision probably made worse by alcohol. Those Drs in Nashville are amazing especially Vanderbilt and St Thomas. Two of the best in the US. They are both teaching hospitals. No better way to learn medicine than hands on

​​​@@madaadrgcarli literally said she checked in to the ER and said she had been drinking and hungover. Drinking, partying, flying, pushing herself with multiple trips all in a row on little sleep probably contributed to contracting pneumonia. Glad she's okay. Scary experience.

Glad you’re okay. That’s crazy you get hurt and then found out you had pneumonia! Like whats the odds? May have been a blessing in disguise! And I had no idea you could get septic from pneumonia either. My older sister passed away from going septic and being on life support for a week. Tomorrow makes 5 years actually. But sending you all the good vibes and hope you’re feeling better!

They wouldn't have sat you in the ER if you couldn't breathe 23:01 . I would say they would have taken you straight in. I fronted at my hospital couldn't talk telling them I couldn't breath they took me straight in i ended up on 100% oxygen with penicillin via a drip they did xrays and I too had pneumonia. I was 33 and really struggled spent six nights in hospital. After having it I could understand how the elderly lost lives with it. It's terrible. I'm glad you're all good now 😊

Everything happens for a reason because if you hadn't fallen you wouldn't have known about the Pneumonia. I had walking Pneumonia years ago and it took 3 rounds of antibiotics to cure it. I am a nurse now and it can kill you if it isn't treated. I'm glad you are recovering and got it treated quickly. ❤

My friend rode a mechanical bull and when she fell off, he didn’t stop the bull and swung around and hit her in the head. She got a really bad concussion. Mechanical bulls are scary and I’m glad you are okay! Thank you for sharing with everyone! ❤

My ex’s brother died from untreated pneumonia at age 34. He was the life of the party, had no clue, got sick and felt sick for awhile, and it all went down fast. By the time they got him to the hospital he was unable to talk coherently. Soon after he was in a coma. Never made it. 😢 So it’s nothing to joke with. So glad you’re okay.

Let me explain everybody who doesn’t know about CAT scans. What she’s talking about is called contrast. They do an IV contrast so they can see what is going on internally to see if there’s any internal bleeding 🩸. So they take two photos one with without contrast, and then the second one is with contrast, we can compare the two photos. No I’m not a nurse know. I’m not a CAT scan technician. I worked in the hospital for six years. If you ever scared feel free to ask the technicians what is going on so they can explain to you. And why they do it. I had so many so so so many patients asked me why did you contrast and I never understood until I ask the CAT scan technicians and the MRI technician

That is a horrible experience you had! So sorry. But glad everything is OK now. It's crazy that you hurt your neck and the pneumonia was picking up at the same exact time. Most likely if the bull accident didn't happen, you still would have had trouble breathing and hopefully taken yourself to the hospital. People, please take not being able to breath well seriously!! I get sick on the plane all the time too. I always keep a pack of airborne with me and ask the flight attendants for a glass of water and drop the tablet in it and drink it, really helps with not getting sick

It’s not embarrassing. I was diagnosed with pneumonia in April and I’m so glad I went to the ER because you can become septic. Pneumonia was so painful. Also be careful because I just came down with bronchitis and so did my two year old. My doctor told me you fully don’t recover from pneumonia for about a month. Happy your better ❤
