It's funny because he didn't just throw once, but three times. When he voted for Chip instead of Josh he could've said that he misclicked and voted for Randolph instead of chip, then Josh would've voted for Randolph, and Josh would've been voted out. Even then, he had a chance to come back again, on the last vote if he would have voted for Josh, he would've won.
