Private schools don't need government funding. Let them succeed or fail on their own merits, and put taxpayer dollars back into the schools that really need it to serve their communities.

Wow- this is so out of touch. I taught at Independant schools for years…. People pay extra to attend, the students get the same funding or less than govt school students (I went to state schools, in the 70s they were clean and had clean bathrooms and classrooms and well kept ovals). All Australian children’s parents deserve the same funding as their parents pay taxes. Some parents work two jobs to put their kids through Independant schools because it is their choice. We are a democracy. This woman has serious issues the way she pigeonholes these kids as arrogant monsters.

What is she on about? I went to public school. Caught the bus with private kids, all from the same poor neighbourhood. Nothing fancy, all on the same level of stupid.

She's not saying anything about how poor or 'stupid' kids are. She's saying that this ad could reinforce in private school families a culture and attitude that they're bigger and better than other (non-private school) kids - a very real issue that already exists and this will just make it worse.
