I met John last year at comic con sold me new mutants 98. He was very nice and honest told me it was probably a 9.2-9.4 his friend said no way looks like a 9.8. Thought they were trying to sell me lol but it came back a 9.6 after I got it signed.

There was a time when I would eyeball the condition of raw comics like you are doing here. Back in the late 80’s and early 90’s, this was how you purchased comics at comic shops. Then, I brought home what I believed to be an awesome looking Ghost Rider book. When I took it out of the bag and plastic, I noticed a piece of the back cover was torn off. Graded comics are the only way to go.💯

I had all 2000AD from issue #1 to around #100 and various key Marvel comics back as a kid in the 70's. All went in the bin, as my mum wanted to make space in the attic. I would be sitting on a small fortune now. 😭

I bought a pack of old 2000AD for half a dollar each. Great shape too. Earliest issue was #5. They've degraded a bit since then, just from the paper quality. Still ok though. Mid '90s I think it was.

I had a cgc 7.0 green label of 2000ad Prog 2, just missing the stickers but a pretty clean copy, alas sold the book for a mere $400 :(

Hey guys can we talk about free comic book day and the stores that host either stamping or labeling the comics and how that will effect grading for keys? Would Mill Geek be silly enough to label books?

Too bad it doesnt have the stickers. That would make it 5 to 6 times it's value.
