Most of that stuff doesn't take a toll on performance, its to far away to be rendered while playing normally. Youll notice things popping into place while flying around in free cam.

That first town might be the new resurgence map and it will have nuclear waste around the perimeter. Also thats not snow. Its from a dry lake bed here in Nevada. Yucca flats is the real are they had nuketowns. You can see one in indiana jones crystal skull.

It would be interesting to hear from a game developer why the game loads these maps like this, presumably lots of what you showed cannot be seen from the MP map so I wonder why the game loads the assets?

it all gets culled anyways, the engine will never render stuff that's occluded or too far away
