Our Mission Statement: The definition of revitalize is “the action of imbuing something with new life and vitality”. In other words this means bringing forth new energy and vibrancy. This quite frankly, is exactly what we are doing for horses. Free Spirit Equestrian’s program for horses “Equine on the Rise ” is a program that we have designed specifically with the horse in mind. Shae is the owner and head trainer of Equine on the Rise. She has developed this program over the last decade, and has formulated a well rounded, all encompassing approach. Shae starts with buying horses from all different walks of life. She spends her own personal funds, and energy on these beautiful souls. Moreover, she considers all of these horses her own the moment she takes responsibility over them. They are her world and she devotes every moment to bettering their life and providing the best atmosphere possible. The first step to Equine on the Rise’s program is the wellness aspect. Each horse is given an individualized wellness plan catering to their specific needs. This plan includes vetting, proper nutrition, farrier, dental, massage, chiropractic care, and so much more. The next step is creating a bond through compassion, time, and understanding. Shae takes her time to let the horse settle in, meet the herd, and feel comfortable in their new environment. Shae creates trust with the equine through connection and patience. Once the horse has reached their wellness milestones and feels safe they then begin the next phase of the program which is training. Equine on the Rise starts with basic ground etiquette such as tying, grooming, loading, bathing, etc. Then the horse is taught or refreshed on groundwork and in hand work. Everything starts on the ground and we then work our way up to tacking, and mounting when the horse feels comfortable. Each horse has a slightly different timeline, because nothing is rushed and some horses have more training then others when they come to Shae. Once the horse is ready we then start their under saddle work. Shae believes in letting the horse develop balance, muscle, and harmony through targeted exercises and natural strength building. Incorporating multiple postures and allowing the horse to develop without force is a must in Shae’s book. We use no gimmicks or gadgets in our program. Just treats and a lot of praise! We make sure the horse is ridden and trained in all of their gaits, and we listen to what the horse is telling us to determine what discipline the horse may like or succeed in. Shae is not just evaluating the horses, she spends months and years working with each horse every day. She is educating them with every ounce of knowledge she possesses. Moreover, our program has an emphasis on exposing horses to different environments such as shows, trail riding, camping, and more. Once the horse has more development we do what we believe is best for them, and eventually they graduate from our program to find their forever person. We aren’t looking to sell our horses to people we are looking for people who match our horse. In other words, once the horse has graduated from Equine on the Rise they are then available for purchase to approved homes. Shae is not grant or donation funded, her process that she has created is self-sufficient and when the horses are ready for their final step which is going to the perfect home, they are then available at current market prices. Equine on the Rise’s program is a 1-5 year process depending on the horse. We strive to educate horses as much as possible so they are less likely to end up in a poor situation. Transforming horses into their best, most majestic version is what we do.

So you're a horse flipper/trader? You're not a rescue and you don't rescue horses, you literally purchase pretty ones that aren't even in terrible condition and you flip them lol

@🦋Femi•Goddess🦋 in a sense yes. but these are often times horses that no one else will give a chance and she's retraining them and desensitizing them to be set in a farm with riders or even lesson kids for years to come. It's a wonderful thing, like buying a dog from a shelter, retraining it and finding a forever home. many times the horses behaviors are just reflections of their owners and with the proper care, as she is doing, they can blossom into wonderful animals and companions

@@millybrown5664 Shae's mission is to help horses that have had a difficult start, to become balanced, happy horses and to reach their full potential. She is very picky when it comes to rehoming her horses because she wants the best for them. She dedicates her time, love and good energy into the training. This all takes time, money and a lot of emotional energy. And to continue helping horses she has to move them on, she can't help more otherwise. So to say she just flips horses and does not rescue them is a tad off the mark. Watch some of her videos and you will see the difference she brings to the horses lives. Shae is one of the kindest and best horse trainers I have seen.

That just isn't true. I've been in the horse world for 50 years and have known many traders. They usually "flip" horses within weeks-they don't keep them for years and develop them so that they will be suitable for others. Rehabbing horses is perfectly ethical and it is idealistic but unrealistic to think that everyone has to keep every horse forever. @@jannywanny2201 Well basically she spelled out the fact that the only one she won't sell is Jiminey. Why??? It's not like she's a rescuer, someone who buys horses on the verge of death, who keeps them only long enough to improve them enough so someone will want to give them a forever home. -That I understand, that's to save lives, and you can only save so many at a time with limited space. She buys horses that are already pretty good, and improves them only in terms of training. She said she's not a flipper, pointing out that she doesn't make a profit and if anything takes a loss (I assume with all the vet bills). But you know, profit dollars aren't the only thing you can flip something for; there's also EXCITEMENT, of getting something new over and over. And in this case it's not just her but KZbin followers, getting to see her go to auctions and wondering what she'll get each time. Could she really be that gross? -I wish I could think of a better explanation.
