What a great reaction from a true Metallica fan (even the Dad joke!). This is just an incredible arrangement by Geoff. They had to wait for J to get navy leave it was worth the wait. As a long standing metal head and metal club DJ, I couldn’t not listen to this song but once I did I had to check all reactions to it. Geoff’s arrangement phenomenal, J’s butter vocals amazing, Eli’s metal tenor voice indescribable, Caesar’s silky tone and high reach unbelievable, and Layne’s on point percussion and melodic violin lifted the song to new heights. What’s not to like? P.S. True story, I always listen to your reactions at night when everyone is asleep at home because even when you get excited your voice is still smooth and doesn’t wake anyone up (thank goodness to that)

I haven't had this much fun since "Hoist the Colours" came out. 😂 Yet again, VoicePlay is upping their game, and pushing the boundaries just that little bit further. If this is how they are starting the year, I can only imagine where they will go... of course, we say this every time. It's seriously a blessing to be able to watch this group's trajectory; I'm truly starting to believe that they have no limits to what they can do. And like many others, I've got to say: this is The Quintet that VoicePlay needs. The combo of J. None and Cesar with the core trio is magic.

Older Metallica is actually incredible. Their lyricism and musicianship is world-class, to say the least. This is one of Metallica's softer, radio friendly songs. What I love most about when Layne plays his violin is that he’s most likely still beatboxing while playing. I really think they're going to break me this year. Sheer perfection all the way around. LMFAO 8:59 "I gotta text my mom or something, bro." Gotta love those existential moments when you're listening to something and you're just like "Am I alive? What year is it? Where am I? What is happening right now?!" Also there's a lot of "Is anyone else hearing this?!" in there as well. Which again is totally understandable. Also "Put my body bag in a body bag." I have to say I've never thought of that before as an expression, but it's completely justified and relatable.

There is just something about music that can't be put into words. For those of us that are truly music people it goes even deeper. I know most people say it's the universal language but I honestly think it goes deeper than that. To be able to share a moment with hundreds of thousands of people at the exact same moment whether it's at a concert hearing it live or with like these reactions videos, because in that moment nothing else really matters. All that matters is that song, that note, that lyric for that many people it's such a powerful thing.

When I heard, I listened to the original, and was surprised at how much I enjoyed it, although I do find the style generally just too loud for my taste. I was anxious to see what they did with it and I think that they probably captured the spirit of the song in their own style. It may not be theatrical, but certainly has drama! Such a gorgeous tribute to a great song. My favorite part is when it swells and they rock it out and then Layne uses the Force to summon his violin. I also love that we got to hear him in three modes: singing, percussion and violin. I don’t think it will edge out Hoist the Colours for my favorite, but it is pretty darn close
