Chris searches for these by checking if the Queen is looking in the correct direction. However, the Queen is always looking in the right direction! It's the Reverse that is always rotated.

I like the definitive coins as much as the commemoratives and would not regard my collection as complete without them. As a British ex-pat living in the USA, I can't do coin hunts like you, and my collection of 2 pound coins, are mostly proofs because the postage from the UK is the same for any grade. My 50p coins are mostly BU, and although I didn't care for the coloured examples to start with, I have grown to like them very much. II also have a full collection of Silver Britannias etc

FYI. It looks like there's a blurry spot, right in the middle of your screen, when you are going through the coins fast. Your camera can't focus on them when you are going so fast, but when you slow down or stop & show off a coin, then it focuses just fine. I don't know if that can be helped or not, but it's just something that I have noticed.

I found it funny today in a charity shop, they were trying to sell a Rugby World Cup £2 coin for £10, Lord Kitchener for £10 and a non-flag error First World War Centenary Royal Navy £2 Coin for £4

I think the staff looked up FB prices ! Lots of overpriced items on that site However if its a charity close to your heart you may pay over the odds knowing the extra money is a huge help to the charity

One of those annoying statistical facts is that if there is a 1% chance of finding a coin then it will take you ~100 tries (weeks) to find it (or 50% chance of finding it in 50 tries, etc). There is no "saving up luck", or saying it's "due". The human brain doesn't like this, leading to the entire casinos / gambling industry.

Why do you think that the Royal Mint will eventually release the 2021 Britannia, at least two years late, and well after the demise of our Queen, and the coronation of a new King. I think it highly unlikely that they will ever enter circulation.
