@L._.roberts

@@anti-ethniccleansing465 you do know that here in the U.K, has one of the best health care systems in the whole entire world? And it’s free. We don’t get into debt because we seek treatment. The asthma patient has a chronic illness known as brittle asthma. This means she has a lot of asthma attacks, however she has a care plan in place which most of the time usually works which includes upping her prednisolone steroid dose however on this occasion it’s not worked. Because the patient is used to asthma attacks she most likely tries to avoid going to hospital so instead chose to visit the GP. She could’ve rang for an ambulance or taken herself straight to A&E so you’re statement about going through the “right channels in order to die” is the most absurd and ridiculous thing to say.

@@anti-ethniccleansing465 I’m delusional? All healthcare system in the world have flaws, the NHS has waiting lists that are several months long however this is because everyone gets treated. It’s also free. Unlike america I don’t have to sell my house in order to seek medical care because my insurance doesn’t cover a certain treatment or hospital. Out of the 191 countries the U.K. healthcare system is higher ranking that the US. The US ranks 37th in the world in comparison to the U.K. which ranks 18th. I believe sir you are the delusional one.

Yes, that happened to me early this year. My asthma was playing up from the flu and I went to the GP for steroids because my breathing was shallow and was exhausted . I almost fainted in the reception queue. My oxygen levels were low and they sent me to hospital in an ambulance on oxygen. I would've never considered going to the hospital voluntarily.

I'm currently struggling with an asthma flare since Jan and no idea what's causing it. I've had repeated asthma attacks and trialling diff inhalers. Hospital don't want to know, GP sends me back. I'm exhausted from coughing, my stomach and back hurt so bad. Gasping for breath as soon as I start walking, then going dizzy with coughing, chest is horribly tight and I need sleep. Can't see GP now til Thursday and I just keep being told to go hospital but I do and they just keep sending me back to GP. 😩 When this lady said she'd had 6 puffs I was gobsmacked, I'm having 30-40 a day coz I can't seem to stop it 😭

I have had been out on a ventilator for difficulties breathing. Also, I have so many allergies that are considered anaphylaxis. Yesterday I went into anaphylaxis and administered the first round of epi and made my way to GP where I received a second shot. The doctor wouldn't let me leave and insisted I took an ambulance ride to the ER where I received more epi shots, Benadryl shots, and a ton of steroids because the doctor felt I would rebound and go back into anaphylaxis.

I feel the her pain with anxiety. Mine too is crippling. I cannot function normally at all. The simple things, like the pressure of some house chores, the dog crying, sticking to a normal daily schedule, where I have to wake up at a certain time, eat, shower and whatever, that can send me into eat feels like a nervous breakdown, into pure panic, where my heart is racing, my limbs feel week, and I feel like I am about to pass out. Sometimes it’s so bad that I am literally paralysed with fear for days that I cannot move from my sofa. I cannot work, leave my house, and I feel completely stuck. Anyway, I hope she gets better.

The first lady made me cry, to go what she's going through and to try and cope is so hard, it doesn't matter when people try to be kind as it often makes you feel guilty for being ill. I have mixed bi-polar and anxiety disorder, last year the cherry on the cake is borderline personality disorder. The whole time is about coping and making out everything is great, I'm under a constant state of guilt and self loathing. I'm funny and melancholy, I'm over bearing and incredibly empathic to others. I'm 56 and been like this as long as I remember, nobody to turn to I trusted anybody, after my last breakdown the police got me the help I needed. With the right meds and the right people things are much better - telling others what happened to us as kids was so hard but the right thing to do, I'll never recover but at least I'm in a better place now. Don't ever suffer in silence it damages you and those around you. XX

I'm quite taken aback by the first GP. Why is she not prescribing an SSRI or the like? I've always been told by GPs, therapists etc that if you take ADs, you should be on them for about 3 years before you stop so it stays in your system longer. Why did she prescribe something addictive??
@TheGeographyWatch
@TheGeographyWatch 3 жыл бұрын
What are you talking about? The doctor DID prescribe her an SSRI. She also gave her a prescription for a drug to slow her heart rate and breathing in the event of an anxiety attack. The doctor clearly said in the video that she’s prescribing the addictive drug because the non-addictive alternative could cause problems with the patient’s asthma. What’s the issue?

What a bizarre video! Here in the States, this woman with such bad asthma would drive straight to an emergency room and be treated. It seems like she has to go through the “proper channels“ in order to not die? This is insane.
@700694
@700694 3 жыл бұрын
Not at all. She could have gone straight to A&E to be treated or called an ambulance herself. Clearly she didn't realise it was as bad as it was since she chose to make an appointment to see her GP rather than get emergency treatment. The GP recognised that it was an emergency and called an ambulance to take her straight to hospital.

You can call an ambulance or turn up to a hospital whenever you’re feeling unwell, you don’t need to see a GP just to go to hospital. This lady clearly didn’t realise how bad her asthma was so went to a GP first, who then notified the ambulance service. Some people also feel guilty because they wrongly think they are “wasting an ambulance’s time” so will wait to see a GP instead
@Diamondmine212
@Diamondmine212 2 жыл бұрын
She could have gone straight to hospital here too by ambulance(for free) but like many people with life long problems they try to treat themselves because they get “ fed up” of ending up in hospital and kid themselves they can manage. There’s no worries here like there is in America about the cost.
@anti-ethniccleansing465
@anti-ethniccleansing465 2 жыл бұрын
@@Diamondmine212 Well I have had asthma since I was 7 years old (I am currently 46 years old), and have nearly died from it, being saved by the fire department and an ambulance to rush me to the hospital. And yes we get fed up from going to the hospital, but never once have I played with my life by not going to the hospital/calling emergency services when I need to go. I do have my own nebulizer at home so that I don’t have to go to the hospital nearly as much as I used to go (which has saved me an enormous amount of money, because I do live in the USA), but I still know very well what point I can’t surpass when treating it myself at home. I know what point would be impossible for a general practitioner to save my life as well. In fact, I’ve never gone to a general practitioner/allergist doctor for asthma since my mother brought me to them a couple of times when I was a kid, because that was back in the day that they used to give us adrenaline shots, in the 1980s… General practitioners don’t do that anymore.
