I can’t eat leeks any other way

Ingredients:
GARLIC-MISO BRAISED LEEKS (2 servings):
- 2 Tbsp oil
- 2 trimmed leeks
- 2 Tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 1 Tbsp of miso paste
- 1 cup stock
- Pinch of red chili flakes
- Salt & pepper to taste (Miso is salty FYI)

Just tried it and its really good! Reminder to anyone new to leeks - wash them! The dirt is everywhere between the layers (this could just be a thing with my local market, but just in case) I skipped the butter too, I always forget to buy that 😅 it turned out great tho! 🎉

Yes, I’m an organic farmer. It’s not your local store. Leeks are grown 5-9” deep in sandy soil. It DOES get everywhere!

I did this, but with chicken broth instead of miso. Was awesome, fiancé loved it too. I'll make them like this from now on.

Soak them in water. The dirt sinks and the leeks should float.

I found some triple washed and prepped leeks at Trader Joe’s, before that I would soak them for a while and use one of those faucet heads with the pressurized jet streams

That's not teflon, it looks like carbon steel that needs a little seasoning done to it, otherwise it looks like a well-used carbon steel pan.
