Thanks @Reggae Gist all your videos are very interesting and informative, and this one how Coxsone took young Freddie in to his household and treat him like a Son is particularly enheartening ❤

Great singer, Freddie McGregor...🎤And Sir Coxsonne looks relaxed here like a grand daddy everyone would love to spend the time with...Not the gun-totting fella who "terrified many artists during studio sessions...Many Reggae men have attested to this😄😄😄😄😄😄
@DJGG8205 Жыл бұрын
The gun toting fella was Duke Reid. Are you young?

I'm always curious about something...I've never seen Freddie Mc and Beres Hammond palling around or even recording together. Are they cool with each other or is it just the way it is?

Coxsone Dodd was hungry for fame attention, and he surely got it..bc now, Coxsone Dodd is highly favored not loved by bias one sider Black Americans who are FBA ADOS FOR SAYING HE GOT TOASTING FROM 😅😅 AMERICAN DJS😅😅 THEY ADMIRED HIM FOR THAT! And the only reason Coxsone agree when the interviewer ask him twice if it’s “talking” on the mic. That’s only to praise himself and for attention,you can easily tell in the interview he gave!😅😅

you need to change the title from "....did to me..." to "...did for me...", it makes a big difference from accusation to gratitude.

Thanks for your info on Freddie McGregor. Although not one of my favourite singers, I give him his props for his endurance and fortitude. I was familiar with the late Coxsone Dodd among others, as my father was the President Of The Musicians Union in Jamaica in the sixties. It was not easy being a musician in Jamaica in the sixties, and many a bright star was lost due to the rip off culture rooted in the Jamaican music business.

Very good shout, that is a great album, right up there with all his top albums, I have it on the Intense label from its release and play it all the time, love every track, only one I don't generally play is Run Satan Out, otherwise all killer, no filler, a superb album regardless - bless.

@@AuthenticSelector64 Nice! always had it on the Intense label, then being a collector for 40 years, and into first pressings where possible, I searched a near mint copy of the Joe Gibbs 1st pressing but for some reason I found the Intense pressing to be more musical and enjoyable on my system so sold the JB pressing on - go figure - bless.

These are same companies that are set up by the ones who are doing the robbing. It’s a revolving door.

Did the narrator mention rasta ism? I thought I heard Rastafarianism which is ok for proper grammar usage except if he wasn't speaking English language.

@leroyrichards7502 it don’t matter what he said, Rasta is a baby cult whose momma is the Catholic Church, that practices idolatry which the Most High hates, and has led many of his people astray. Praise YAH The Most High Almighty and let Tafari Makonnen (a Christian) Rest In Peace.
