One of my favorite sounding amps, which is crazy considering its like a third or quarter price of the other ones that come to mind as my favorites. Really appreciate you still making vids with this one because I enjoy all of your archon stuff. Do you know if these have any fx loop noise like the mt15 is often said to have?

I love the tones of PRS amplifiers. I have almost every amp known to man as a capture on the Quad Cortex. I realize it doesn't nail every amp identically, but a lot are very close. For my taste, I keep coming back to either the Archon or MT15, or Mesa Mark 7 (mark 4 mode or JP2C) they just sound super thick for heavy chords.

How do you like the stock Friedman rhythm amp on the QC? I just got one and I like that the most right now for thick high gain tone that cuts through.

I have the combo 🙂 The only thing I hate about the amp is how heavy (as in physically heavy) it is, but it sounds fantastic.

Top 10 amp for me. Pair it with an EVH EL34 5150 50w and you're in rock/metal tonal heaven

I'd get one today if it weren't for the combo style chassis, where the tubes are hanging upsidedown. They did us dirty by slotting the combo chassis into a head. Great tones though, great playing!

For me, I own many amps, Rectifiers have always been favourite, the best, until this amp came along, I struggle now as I just feel like this is everything of a recto, but with nicer mids and less fizz, am I going crazy???

After hearing that Ibanez M80M I'm kicking myself for not getting one when I could. I love my Caparison 8 string, it's a fine instrument but the Ibanez sounds soooo percussive and clear, no doubt from the 31" scale length. How difficult is the fret spacing in the lower register?

Im confused with what tubes this amp is supposed to come with. I just recently purchased one and it came with 6L6s but product descriptions in most places list it with 6ca7, which is closer to a El34. Some vendors say it has 6L6! Not sure whats going on with PRS but its really weird.

The 7 string seems like drop A and the 8 string like standard (F#/B/E etc.)

Tremonti had an interview recently where he was at a festival in Europe. During the interview he said he hopes it releases in October. Take that for what it’s worth. The majority of the wait is due to dialing in the “dumble” IE crunch, channel.
