Alex, about 3-4 years ago when I started listening to your music, I was going through a really hard patch with my now ex, we had just spent hours fighting, with no end to the fighting in sight, I played your cover of landslide and grabbed her, held her as tight as I could, and we danced. I remember thinking at that point "I wish Alex would cover I Can't Make You Love Me." 4 years later, you made that dream come true. You have been, and will remain my all time favorite artist. I love this song. We sang it as a ballad for the all girls Showchoir group at my high school. At districts ( all the schools in the city get judged by professionals and are scored) we performed our usual set and made some people in the audience cry. It was a beautiful thing for us to see. After I grabbed my stuff I ran back into to watch my friend who was in a group from a different school. People came up to me and said they loved us and that we were amazing. This song just makes me smile so much.
