One of the most under-rated korean dramas ever is Go Back Couple. It follows the story of a married couple who marriage is failing. Then when given a chance to go back in time before they met, they become determined to change their future of being together to not being together~ it’s so good. It’s filled with love and grief and family. My god I cried!!

Haruki Murakami is one of my favorite authors! If you like him, you might like Kazuo Ishiguro. I'm also halfway though Next Year in Havana. You read from two perspectives, Marisol and her grandmother Elisa before her family left Cuba. I'm learning things about Cuban history I didn't know much of before.

I read A Day in December, it was good and can be easily read all throughout the year, it's not as much a winter read as the title might suggest. I generally found it predictable, but it's the kind of book you read for the journey, not the plot twists. As for the satisfying romance part... yeah, it wasn't that for me per se, but the main character's progress is what kept me reading.

Confessions by Kanae Minato is a fantastic novel that was even chosen as required reading material in Japanese schools. The plot follows a teacher who discovers two of her students murdered her daughter and she decides to exact her revenge on them in a span of years. It follows the perspective of the two boys who killed her daughter, explains why they did it, and then culminates in the teacher's final act of revenge. It's a short read and the movie is quite possibly one of the best horror movies I've ever seen.

KDRAMA RECOMMENDATIONS I GOTCHU 1) Healer: If you love action and mystery based shows, this is definitely for you. It's on Netflix :) 2) Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo: This is the sweetest coming-of-age and sports drama ever. And it's fucking funny. 10/10 would recommend. Also Netflix 3) (You already watched Hello My Twenties but shoutout to this drama again, it's literally one of my favourite shows ever) 4) Descendants of the Sun: More mature and serious but really enjoyable as well :) 5) Coffee Prince: Oldie but a goodie. Classic girl-pretends-to-be-boy trope drama but really fun. 6) Fight For My Way: Friends-to-lovers trope done right and the main couple have SO MUCH CHEMISTRY. Super cute :)

I recommend The lake by Banana Yoshimoto. A couple of good Yoshimoto books are Kitchen, and Lizard. Also, if you want to read interesting mystery novels, Keigo Higashino is a great option!
