Love seeing people’s collections and their CONNECTIONS to the games and why they do it. Personally, i dont have much space to collect, but what i do have, im happy with. i mainly grab Switch and DS/3DS games. Some gems that i am grateful to have, due to insane prices, are Chrono Trigger DS, Castlevania Order of Ecclesia, Shin Megami Tensei Strange Journey DS, Ultimate Ghosts N’ Goblins PSP (Underrated game right there) and Advanced Wars for the GBA.

I love this kind of content, Zion!! And I'd love to see more!! You're collection is so cool, and all the stories behind each game are really fun to listen to. And the fact that you have a living collection where you're constantly buying, trading, adding, and subtracting to it has really high entertainment value. I think it would be fun to hear some stories behind collection subtractions about why you decide to get rid of a game. Especially if it's a game most people would consider a "must have." For my collection I recently picked up Zelda the Minish Cap and Pokemon White 2. They are NOT cheap anymore, but I always wanted them back when they were store shelves. Getting them now feels like I'm paying it forward to my childhood self and finally achieving a long lost dream.

Zion, just wanted to say I love your videos, your passion for retro gaming is genuine and so cool to watch. I’m not sure why, it’s probably the Wii U and 3DS eShop closure but I’ve found myself down a few rabbit holes recently looking at the Wii U VC and being particularly interested in GBA games to supplement my physical collection. This video together with your others have been really interesting to watch. Thank you and the NintendoLife team for all the videos and content you guys produce, it’s super cool.

I love Video Game Wizards, I grew up in that neighborhood and back when I was a kid, it was actually a rental shop. Rented all kinds of fun games from them. I know they've been a buy/sell/trade longer now, but I still have fond memories of being taken down there by my parents to rent Genesis games. They even did full system rentals and on special occasions I'd get to rent a SNES since we couldn't afford to buy one. Good stuff. Nice haul though, I enjoyed seeing all the cool stuff you put together from the convention and Wizards! And the cool press kits. :)

I know why. Many games focus on the hook for its purchase, but then immediately execute the curse ultimatum after your purchase which functions like a jinx where you are punished to continue any further with it - thereby leaving you wanting more elsewhere with another video game.

21:20 Those lines all over the top half are "elevation lines". They indicate how tall the mountain depicted is, since you are seeing it from above and thus aren't getting and idea of its height. Without them it would just look like a flat desert. See? I did listen in geography.

Thanks for sharing Zion, especially the press kits you received; very rarely do gamers get to see them and all the cool swag that are in them. I also enjoy owning and collecting physical copies of (older) games and like you, prefer to have all the original inserts and manuals for completion and authenticity. However, because I'm not in the habit of trading games, it is more challenging to complete certain collections I want; trading games feels like I'm giving away apart of myself because the games I own shape my interests and artistic inspirations for my personal projects. Even if it was a weird/ awful game I bought, I couldn't really bring myself to send it off somewhere else.

3:03 Don't listen to anyone who says Black Knight is bad. It's an underrated gem, and one of my favorite Sonic games. Sure, it's short, only about 5 hours, and it's a bit slow to start, but once you get into it, it's really fun. But 2 things, that even the haters agree with, is that this game has a fantastic soundtrack and story. The writing is one of the best in the series, which shouldn't be a surprise, as it was written by the same guy who wrote SA2

Black Knight wasn't terrible. It was better than Secret Rings. The real downer for both of those was the motion controls. The story concept that Sonic somehow got involved in classic storybook plots was kinda neat. Definitely worth playing at least once.

Sonic and the black knight doesn't deserve all the hate that it gets. The soundtrack is godly and by all accounts its a better game than secret rings. It's unique and I appreciate the little things. Like letting you play as other knights of the round table, leveling up and becoming a badass hedgehog, the voice actors were really at their peak with this one too. There's tons of content and replay value for you if you want but most of it is entirely optional and the story gives a solid message to its players. Kinda wish more people gave it a chance but we don't live in that timeline. Also sorry about the rant btw. I just wanted to voice my opinion on a game I think is underrated.

Sonic and the Black Knight is pretty much Wii hack and slash Sonic, focus on the hack and slash aspect. I personally have a ton of nostalgia for it, it wasn't good but it's definitely odd. Wii hack and slashes are never that great unless they use Wii Motion Plus, but it does have some momentum based gameplay from the Sonic series which makes it at least a unique bad hack and slash. And the story is ridiculous and potentially more edgy than Sonic 06? Spoilers, if you care about a medieval fast hedgehog Wii hack and slash released in 2009, Knuckles tries to... let's put it as, *end himself.* Sonic 06 may have Sonic actually dying, but I'd argue that Black Knight tops it with that one aspect alone. And the music is good, Knight of the Wind is one of my favorite Sonic themes.
