Sad to see you go, especially as I only recently discovered the channel. But I totaly understand. I stopped palying for about a year and get so frustrated with the unbalanced matchmaker and constant string of losses where you can do nothing to turn the game around. At times I have loaded the game and then just couldnt face it as a wave of dread comes over me and I just log out. Hopefully you will find something you can love even more!

Same here, I only recently discovered the channel too, and found it to be much better than a lot of others covering WOT. But at the same time, I totally understand quitting. Wargaming do not know how to manage this game properly. The greed, the predatory gambling mechanics that are being added more and more, and the huge balancing issues. More and more ridiculous power creep premiums. Sure, they're making money in the short term but it's not a long term strategy. They're constantly degrading the game, and more and more people are getting fed up and leaving. Eventually they will alienate people too much.

I just came back after a 3 year absence and found the game totally changed. The time and effort to grind a tank has become rediculous. The cost of modules is astronomical. And the cost of premium tanks is insane. I have been using my premium T-26E4 I bought years ago and it is pretty much useless in the game today. My tree looks like swiss cheese due to tanks being removed and replaced. The game is pretty much only for the clans and those with bottomless pockets thast will pay over 300 USD for a non-tangible thing that could disappear in the future. I have been playing since 2012 and am seriously thinking of deleting my account with wargaming also. With a tier 8 medium tank being matched with mostly Tier 9 and 10 TDs and heavy tanks there is not much opportunity to advance. The game is not much fun these days.

Same here mate. They took my Death Star, Foch 155 and WT 100 from my garage because of balance issues and then offered it for sale. I played/grinded for those. I also to felt the FOMO and or getting rusty if I didn’t play. I managed to keep a 53% (not great but back in the day the avg player base was 48%)win rate without ever platooning and playing a ton of arty. But the constant chant of “gg at the start of a round, we have a ton of baddies, get gud noobs etc…” drove me nuts. Sure I could turn off chat but then there was zero comms for teamwork. Just really frustrating. I logged in for this black market sale just to see what was happening, not sure if I’ll start up again.

More like Free Xp'd those, grinding has pretty much stopped since 2015. People just save up gold or use loot box gold to cash in the free xp and jump through the tree's. I feel your pain but you helped this situation as we all have over the years.

I totally agree with you. I have been playing for 10 years and each time I work up a line to get the amazing tier 10 it gets nurffed. I agree with you about the different events, I never play them , just random battles. WTO is just a money grab. Sorry to hear you are going as I follow you and find your videos very helpful. I managed to make wot completely free for me, playing only with several T10 super-heavies. and several T8 premiums which I got for bonds. Shooting limited amount of gold ammo, playing few battles, max 1 hour per day, sometimes per week, when I'm busy at work. Selling all stuff what they give for free. Last time I donated was 2014. They will never see any euro from me, coz they made this game casino, pay to win mess. And always same story how they doing stuff, adds new imba tank, some time keeps it, then nerf. Adds new destroyers which you cant pen from front any way, if they hide lower plate, ant these shred you with 650-750 alpha in response, just shooting to silhouette. Best decision is not to play, or play smart. No any dollar/euro for bastards.

I quit for the third and final time a while back. It started for me back with the e25, but that was uncommon and wasn't enough to make me quit. I still remember the game that did make me quit the first time. We were on Studzianki. I recently had finally gotten my glorious T-30. I had long been in awe of the power of this monster. There suddenly appeared before me the brand new premium EBR thing. Easy one-shot for my massive gun and he's right there. I shoot and my huge tank-smashing round bounces off his friggin wheel and he drives in circles around me and destroys me before I can even reload. from then on the P2W just got worse and worse. By the time you work your way up a tech tree to the one you want, it been rendered obsolete by the power creep of the premiums. You pay them, or you'll VERY rarely be competitive.

I didn't quite leave the game, but I haven't spent a penny on it since the second Christmas lootbox event. Also, I'm maybe playing only a tenth of what I used to 10 years ago. When the lootbox inflation kicked in, the were no changes to maps and balancing, but tons of new premiums, that was when I realized that everything will only go downhill.

I started in 2014 until a few months after the introduction of the Wheeled tanks (2019 if I remember correctly). That was the last straw for me and a sign that this beautiful game is going to hell. Didn't play the game for about a year and then, at the end of 2020, started a whole new account as a "free player". I should have done that much earlier. a) I got much better at the game because I use less "gold amo" and in most casus no gold amo at all. Don't have the credits for it. b) It's okay if you lose. c) Nothing is more fun than killing a premium tank with a regular tank and standard amo ;-) My advice; open a new account and start at tier 1, without spending a single cent.

Totally agree with everything you have said. And the biggest joke is when the playerbase/streamers/reddit/discord using the term "value" to incentivize more sales when talking about spending money on gambling and predatory events. Guys, there is no "value", there is no free market here, WG controlls both the supply and the demand. The entire product feel like cheap walmart and a live service casino with tank thematic. It is no longer game about tanks, it is a minefield of aggressive submersed psychological tricks pushed at you to keep spending and playing Nowadays i feel ashamed to even tell someone that i play(ed) World of Tanks, because i know the product is a disgusting gacha game abusing vulnerable people, and everyone smart enough to see through it has already left. Shame, as the original concept of the game was genius. Uninstalling and and preferably deleting account (to make sure you have nothing to come back to) is the only correct way how to handle this insanely toxic relationship. I don't take it very seriously and I think that's why I still enjoy playing, until I don't in which I just log off for a few days and come back fresh later. They key for me is to stop worrying about my rating and the second it makes me angry I log off.

I used to play the game intensely, hours a day, often at the expense of other things I should have been doing. I spent far too much money too. Eventually I realised how unhealthy it was, what I was supporting, and just how horrible Wargaming are, uninstalled the game and took a lengthy break. I recently started playing for the 2024 winter event, but just enough to do the daily missions, and mostly only at low-mid tiers with the tanks I paid money for (KV-220, FCM36Pak40, SU-85I, the dreaded leFH, the Cromwell B and of course my beloved TOG). I have a Foch 155 and a Death Star from the days when you could grind them both, but haven't used them in ages. I'll only ever play casually now, 3-4 games at a time maybe twice a week, and I'll never spend any money (unless they re-release the SU-76I, in which case I might be tempted). Right now I think I have exactly the right relationship with Wargaming.

I agree with you 100%, streamers don't help the situation either, just WG stooges really. I also 100% believe that games are rigged by WG to end them quicker.

@@voice7819 Uses up consumables faster. I've seen noticeable changes in a game, your shells just don't pen anymore, miss a lot but the enemy gets you everytime. I'm a cynic but I do believe it happens. The mechanic to do it is right there in the game.

Tal vez es porque soy un viejo, pero yo no juego meta, sino lo que me viene en gana: entré al WOT para sacar el Panther I, el II y el Jagdpanther II. Por eso acepto que siempre habrán cosas nuevas y mejores, no me asusta ni sorprende que metan al WT E100 de nuevo. Que otros corran tras la novedad, mi alegría está en hacer funcionar los tanques menos populares.

Dude yes the Lorraine 40T. I grinded my way up to it finally reaching it. Was such a fun tank to play with. Shortly after it got removed and replaced by the inferior Batchat AP. And you did not even get the Lorraine back as it was then a premium and also tier 8 lol!

Not that I ever grinded much events, but everytime there was one I felt this nagging feeling of I should be doing something... Which, in my case, as always leads to opposite: if game starts to feel like work, I switch to other games. Problem solved.

I glad you chose your desicion. Back in 2014, I also fell in love to Tanks that I played it after school. However, about 4 years later, I left the game since I just kept dying and dying for no reason (I was a kid that time) But I returned after 2 years. However, seeing the lottbox tanks like 703 II (122), Bisonte, Skoda, BZ, DZT, Vipera, Caliban. It gave me lots of frustrating. Now, I also ended the gaming on anks permanently. They god damn readded the WT Auf E 100 even it got removed about 10-11 years but you gonna pay. I cannot say how greedy WG is really is. I can say 'If your community is bad, no one will play your game', lets slowly and watch WoT die...

Gutted you feel this way, totally understand your reasoning. It's a business first and foremost, money making runs & and ruins it. I love the game and try to get better, but my frustration is growing, and I'm fed up with 15-1 games power creep and the drug that pulls me back in. Like you say, fear of missing out etc. I wish you all the best, enjoyed being a part of your community. Take care.
