They did a big question and answer that I'd highly recommend reading on the PlayStation blog iirc. They answered part of your chocobo question: in each region you can catch a chocobo with different traversal abilities and from then you can call them whenever in that region.

There are different chocobos in original FF VII: Mountain chocobos, sea chocobos..they put different colors to represent it

There were colored Chocobo's in the og, but you could only have yellow, blue, green, black, and gold through breeding even though other colors like white, darker blue, red purple and pink chocobo's also existed as well. Hopefully, there in this game, you ride all of them. Maybe even a sliver one as well like in 13-2 I think. Also, the blue ones are supposed to walk on light shallow water, not fly, so the fact they can fly now is interesting. I think there will be 1 or 2 more trailers left. Depending on how much rebirth is supposed to be covering, we might be see Cid.

I think we will end where the OG disc 2 ended but this "game 2" will now have some Zack World but nothing player controlled. I think the third game will start with the escape from the northern crater, then a "meanwhile, in another parallel world, several weeks earlier" we get Zack chasing after reunion zombie Cloud, with our Avalanche trio(Biggs, Wedge and Jessie, alive in his timeline) after he found out Aerith died(along with Barret, Tifa and Red) in the battle with destiny, since they did not have Cloud with them in their battle. We will get to control those 4 in battle, on the way to the northern crater. Then the weirdness there will cause the timelines to merge and we will have a full party of all of the OG party plus Zack, Aerith and B/W/J deaking with the weapons, searching for Cloud and all the rest of the OG disc 3 with added content due to the merging of the timelines.

Yeah, loved everything except the whole segway thing in Costa Del Sol. Maybe the Segway CEO fell through a rift when he went off that cliff. Everything else looked great. Was nice to see Cosmo Canyon in the daylight.

In OG FF7 we could breed our own Chocobos with different colors and attributes.

Yeah, that was a nightmare to try and get the gold one to go get KOTR. On subsequent plays, I actually used a cheat device to get the materia, just to avoid chocobo racing for like 50 hours. It was fun but after awhile, it got tedious. Look forward to it in Rebirth but not as a massive time sink.

@@bamachine I was in my early teens, so it was fun for me back then. I'm looking forward to the story changes. This is a future/Post AC Sephiroth, so maybe someone else dies this time.

@@timonalexandr151 I was 31 at the time I played it, right after getting divorced and picked up a PS1 and a couple of games to fill me new free time. Those two games, FF7 and The Legend of Dragoon. Both hooked me on turn based RPGs. Sadly we never saw a follow up Dragoon game.

Wow, now people will only be able to celebrate FF7 Rebirth launch date once every 4th year, and note that not all leap years will have a February 29 due to some mathematical adjustment needed for leap years. 🤔
