I hope there's a scene where Roche comes after you on a Segway in this one if it's going to be a way for you to get round faster in towns and such. Make his core personality trait that he just loves coming after Cloud on the vehicle Cloud is currently riding.

The problem I see with worlds merge is that the timeline where Zack's alive is already being played in my eyes. First, Terrier "stamp." In the stamp lore found throughout intergrade (both the main and dlc), we know that Stamp has multiple characters in its cartoon. There's a camel in a movie with Stamp. There's a human "commander" and there's a canine captain. The terrier wears a captain's rank. It's not unusual for branded chips to feature different characters from the same show. Second, having Zack alive allows them to explore Before Crisis elements, which concluded before FF7 started and after Zack was supposed to die, which includes the summoning of the Zir (can't spell it), also known as the "World Ender" summon. During this time, Avalanche has a mini political upheavel where second in command Fuhito decides complete human genocide is the best way to save the planet and betrays Avalanche leader Elfe. These events happen between September after September 17th (the day Zack is supposed to die) and leading up to October 6th (2 days after Cloud is abandoned with the buster sword and found by Tifa). Conveniently, since these scenes happen in Sector 5, 7, and Midgar's plate, with the big bad defeated by the turks... this means the same turks that set out to save Zack's life are in the area. Cissinei in the Before Crisis timeline visits the church and is attacked on October the 3rd. If you go into the Leafhouse in Remake, the circled date on the calender behind the receiption desk before you go to the classroom is October the 3rd. (Always thought that was weird as hell before). Every scene in remake's main story where Zack was supposed to speak according to the game's director in the FF7 Ultimania Omega (which he also wrote)... is replaced by Sephiroth speaking. This tells us that Zack was never in Cloud's headspace for remake, because the change already took place. In remake key art there are always exactly four whispers following Sephiroth. One of these whispers in the Sector 7 scene before reactor 5 uses Sephiroth's voice to speak to Cloud and there are four whispers in the scene. During the fight with Sephiroth, exactly four whispers participate in the battle's cutscenes. There are exactly four whispers in the scene with Zack and they are only giving their attention to the infantrymen and helicopters. (Comedically, Dirge implies the events of remake already took place...but only half the time. You'll get an explanation of something and a short while later it'll be reexplained by someone else or even by the same person but the details have changed and each time Vincent looks like he's about to call it out...and then doesn't. As an example, you're told over a thousand people disappeared from Junon before Dirge took place. It's later explained these people were survivors from the sector 7 platefall. You're then told they were found, but the p[eople claiming to survive platefall have more than tripled. Now compare the platefalls, which way it falls, how it might land, and Cait Sith's involvement in remake. Now while in Wall Market, note talk of survivors and Dio's talk of how it was supposed to be a massacre but so many escaped. Now in the OG, note the conversations are a mix of disbelief and a lack of confirmation, because nobody lives from the slums to say "Hey it did fall." It's also been pointed out that the voice saying reunion and "When worlds merge" is NOT Sephiroth. It's aged, raspy even. Sector 6 (the youtuber) thinks its Vincent but I don't think it's him either. My last bit to put forth, is between the developer comments saying that they're exploring the past before 7 (what's the point if it's an alternate universe). The remake Ultimania points out at Edge of Creation, Sephiroth is holding time still (with the one breaking down the scene as the head pain Cloud experiences is from trying to move while under world-wide stop magic. There's seven seconds until the end of the world, and Sephiroth is there screwing with its memories. At some point, the world of memories and the world of reality need to merge to rebirth the world.

This looks awesome but I can't imagine how gut wrenchingly sad they'll make bits in the story from the prison and the Cosmo Canyon cave of the Gi. IMO these character story moments/revelations hit harder emotionally than the Forgotten Capital.

There are many Re words that it could be. Retribution, Resistance, Reunion, Rejoin, Redo (O_O), Resolve, Remember, Reform (could be a double entendre). They are not likely to use Reunion as the focus of the reunion seems to be in THIS chapter and they named a game alreaady with the reunion title: Crisis Core: Reunion

I'm gonna copy the comment I made on your State of Play video (that was really a comment exclusively for the FF7 Rebirth trailer^^) and add a thing or two : Here comes the same guy who mentioned the bestiary fidelity in your last FF7 trailer reaction before this one ! This time, I'm pretty sure I recognized : - a Beachplug (weird tentacled molusk) getting tag teamed by Barret and Yuffie near a beach - a Skeeskee (those funky desert penguins that divebomb you near Cosmo Canyon I think) getting wrecked by Red XIII - a Bloatfloat (a color swap of the fish ennemy Blugu we already saw in FF7 Remake) demolished by Cloud and Barret, more likely than the Blugu because the wikis say it's found around Corel region - two Griffins in the back in the scene with the Black Chocobo - a Kyuvilduns in the part where we see Cait Sith fight. That last one I'm less sure, but I don't really see anything else that could match, and I'm reading it's found in or around Mt Nibel, so it's a good bet. Also, you were absolutely right with the name Bottomswell for the weird flying fish boss you fight under Junon, when you save the little girl Priscilla. And you recognized Kjata/Kujata, whatever is name is (which is notable because there are a surprisingly low amount of people who remember it, so well done ^^), the weird multi elemental bull summon that tends to heal ennemies in the original because absorbed elements take precedence, I hated that in the original, but if it gives precedence to damage instead of absorption in Rebirth, it's perfect ! So much crazy shit in this trailer, I usually try to keep my expectations in check, but they are making it damn hard ! Edit : Small addendum, I also saw a screenshot with Aerith attacking a Bagrisk, the chameleon looking ennemy. And in another video, I saw someone note there was a Nerosuferoth (weird lizard ennemies) getting smashed by Aerith Also, I don't know if you saw it, but in the Square Enix blog, they put somes Q&A, and they said in it that all the original team will be in the game, but they said something along the lines of "some of them will be like Red XIII in Remake, in the team but not directly playable". This sadly leads me to believe we won't "play" Vincent or Cid in this one even if they are part of the team and help along (and as disappointing as it can be, from a trilogy standpoint, it makes sense not to give all the characters in the second one, to keep things to give us in the last one). But that's about the only bad news a read, everything else make me feel they really got the spirit of the OG and are going exactly the right way about it :D They even talked about some kind of skill tree for the characters (don't know yet if it's a replacement or an addition to the weapon upgrades) which allow, among other things, to unlock new dual techs. More RPG stuff ! Finally, people have been remarking that the doctor is probably not the one from Mideel, but a doctor from Corel who appears in the novel about Tifa and Aerith, Trace of two past : some version of the video have subtitles with the speaker's name, and his name is Doctor Sheiran, same name as the doctor who took care of Tifa after the Nibelheim incident in the novel

I only started with this because they officially said it’s Ket Shee and then they backtracked and went back to Kate Sith lmao, we’re in a turbulent time for pronunciation. I’d been a Kate person my whole life and then apparently because Scottish we’ve all been saying it wrong, but his name has never been said out loud across all of 7 media before, so this is finally time to have it confirmed 😂

This whole duo/merging timelines thing is gonna allow for all the tragic losses of the OG, but with the opportunity to get the fallen back, inasmuch as characters who are dead in one reality are alive in the other.
