I’ve never seen Andy really hurt. Dropped yes but in heavyweight anyone can drop anyone. Joshua I’d say pretty comfortably is the 2nd hardest hitter in heavyweight actively, even more so when Andy fought him and he hate absolute bombs from Joshua like they were burritos to him. People like to bring up him being dropped by Arreola, but fail to mention that was 18 month of inactivity, new trainer and new weight for Andy which he ditched trainer and weight after that fight and went back to being old Andy. People like to say “I can’t see him going 12 against wilder”, but like Teddy atlas said, who says he has to? He didn’t have to go 12 with Joshua. Andy has slow feet but so does wilder and Andy has the fastest hands in the HW division. Overall it’s a very interesting matchup

My money is on Andy Remember what happened to Michael Grant when he fought Jamel McClain after he had been beat up by Lennox Lewis? Deontay Wilder was beaten up 3 times by Tyson even though he got a gift home town draw in their first fight. Wilder always has a puncher's chance but Andy has the chin and heart and when he gets inside he will rip through Wilder's leaky defenses.

I don’t think that fight has anything to do with McCline who was bigger then Grant . However someone who’s suffered back to back bad knockouts and having only fought 1 round in over a year and a half isn’t in good position at all against a formidable opponent,though I’d still favor Wilder . If Wilder fought Joshua next though he’d get smashed to pieces which I suspect will happen if he actually steps into the ring .

Listen, Ruiz can knock Wilder out, and Wilder can knock him out too. If Ruiz gets up close on the inside of Wilder, I can see a potential knock out happening. If Wilder keeps Ruiz on the outside, I can see a potential knock out. Let’s see how it all plays out though. Basically, I wouldn’t be surprised either way.

Then stop talking and get into the ring already. What achievement has Ruiz shown since his 30 mins of fame? He looked disappointing in the 2nd AJ fight, got knocked down by a 40-yr old Arreola, and would have lost on points to Ortiz if he hadn't lost his punch resistance due to old age. He showed disrespect to his family, his trainer, his discipline, and the sports. He priced himself out of the Fury fight and now doing the same against Wilder. The old Ruiz would be my slight favorite against Wilder but I am not so sure of this new Ruiz (unless Wilder has started to fade too in terms of punch resistance). It has been 4 years since you were the champ. Just get back into the ring already.

When Wilder fought Ortiz, he got paid in the double figure ($3m + PPV share). Ruiz was $1m. Even against Helenius, he got around $10m. So, 70-30 is quite generous given their purse histories.
