I love seeing you feeling happy and laughing while watching this. This song is a happy feel song though the lyrics is deep, of course it's Pablo, a poet and great lyricist. And yes same with me, I'm having an LSS (last song syndrome, it's sound like running in my head 😊) with this EDSA 😂😂😂. Thanks for this RV. ❤❤❤

I can attest to the area near Ricoa smelling like cocoa. 😁 Filipinos can always find something to laugh about in the midst of suffering. And Pablo captured it here perfectly. Pablo's mind is truly amazing. He released 2 albums back to back, Alon (Waves) and Laon (In time) that are so different, my mom does not believe me when I say it's from the same person. Alon is hauntingly beautiful. It talks about inner struggles and can be sad and sometimes painful. But there is always hope. Laon, on the other hand, is a bop! It's like coming out at the end of the tunnel and realizing that while struggles are still there, you can face them head on. The art for the two albums is also amazing. He used an ambigram for the title and also color inverted art. I can go on and on about this but will stop here because this is already way too long.

I had to google "ambigram" not gonna lie 😆 I'll be honest: I love chocolate, but I don't like cocoa or dark chocolate (which is closer to cocoa than milk chocolate is). It's such a bitter taste to me, and I don't get on with it! I'm really inspired by how Filipinos act in situations like this. While I'm not discounting my own country's resilience, at the same time, like I said in the video: very few people over here would find the joy of being stuck in a traffic jam. I do not know when I will get to the two albums, but I've been told to have tissues and/or a plushie haha

I could easily enjoy these songs (whether Pablo, SB19, or one of the other members) -- and I do -- in my own time, but being able to share my reactions with you guys, and getting your thoughts and feelings is really the reason I like to do this: I enjoy sharing the love and the joy, and in the sadder songs, the emotion of the guys' music! I really enjoyed this!

Hi Kenneth! Like you I enjoy listening to this song and I know Pablo performs it very lightly but of course Pablo doesn't write simple songs. As a person who drives by EDSA daily, let me share some context to the metaphors he used in this song: "Kumpleto lagi almusal ko dito sa umaga (My breakfast is always complete) Mainit na kape, kamote't paborito kong pacencia" (Hot coffee, sweet potato and pacencia) Hot coffee means hot headed people, kamote means sweet potato but also means incompetent drivers and pacencia is cookies but also means patience and you need all the patience when you drive here. "Minsan talaga may kakaiba, aga pa merong movie (Sometimes there's strange things, it's early but there's a movie) Madalas sa Ayala ang hiwaga o sa Guadalupe" (Usually there's a mystery in Ayala or Guadalupe) The movie he talks about here refers to road accidents that causes massive traffic jams, with long lines (just like a movie). This usually happens along the Ayala or Guadalupe section of EDSA. Guadalupe is also a big church. "Mata, mata, diretso lang sa kalsada (Eyes straight on the road) Sundot, sulyap sa billboard ni Ms. Ivana (Sneak glances at the billboard of Ms. Ivana) Iwas disgrasya, yari sa jowa (Avoid accidents, you'll get in trouble with your partner) 'Hit idaan mo sa Ricoa, bugbog, talbog ano mang bola, ah, nah" (Even if you pass by Ricoa, bruised, any balls will bounce) Since thousands of people pass by daily, EDSA has so many billboards including the one of sexy celebrity Ivana Alawi and he says here try to prevent accidents by not looking too much. You'll also prevent the wrath of your girlfriend who you can woo with chocolates (Ricoa is a chocolate factory along EDSA) but you're not likely to succeed ("bola" is tagalog for ball but it also means sweet words and "talbog ang bola" means bouncing ball but also ineffective sweet words). Sorry for the long comment, I just love Pablo's song writing skills.

Thank you for the long comment! I appreciate it! Absolutely agree! Pablo's way with words is honestly hard to match! I love the way he uses double meanings within his lyrics. Yeah I didn't want to just rip off the thread I talked about at the end of the video, as the person worked hard to make their thread -- as you did your comment! But there was SO much to talk about! His songwriting is so good! I feel like without you telling me these things, it's a nuance I miss, not being a Tagalog speaker! Thank you for watching!

Thanks for this RV, Kenneth. I know that you'll get to listen to Pablo's double albums - ALON (waves) and LAON (in time) - at some point. Re WALA (nothing or none): this is a completed and titled version of his song '???' which was the teaser to the release of LA LUNA years ago. The video is on his channel and has English captions. Unless he deleted it. Haven't checked.

"EDSA kahabaan" - "EDSA that's very long" "nature starts calling (oooh)" - the oooh part sounds like the horns and sirens on the road "coz I still haven't paid for my last stupidity" - he got ticketed for something and he still haven't paid the fine He made a wordplay with 'pacencia'. It's a type of cookie in Philippines and is the Spanish loan word that means patience. Filipino is comprised of Malay, Chinese, Arabic, Spanish, and English Yes, the comedy are intentional. "yari sa jowa" - from the pictures on the internet, it looks like he has a secret girlfriend (secret because of privacy purposes. Philippines is opposite of Korea in regards to celebrities having a love life - as long as it's not a scandalous one) Pablo once made a GTA looking video So far, in all of Pablo's songs, he progresses the narrative(s) He once said that he noticed that most of his songs are too serious, and that he wanted to make a light-hearted one. So when he got inspired by his motorcyle life, he made this song. Pablo's 2 new albums (Alon and Laon) are MASTERPIECES. WARNING: Get some emotional support things when listening to Alon (wave) i.e. get some tissue/hanky/plushie/pillow, etc All of his lyrics videos (except "Wala") has correct English CC. idk if he did that on purpose as 'wala' means none/nothing/gone/nil/finished

Oh wow, I love all this information! After I recorded, I was like: was this the most light-hearted song -- and I was going through making sure I hadn't forgotten something 😆 I like that he was able to self-reflect in that way, and make something that I hope he's proud of -- at least as much as his other music! I didn't realise that Filipino was made of so many different languages. I knew Spanish and English, but I didn't realise the others! Secret girlfriend! Ooh! Regardless, I appreciate him wanting to keep his private life private. Gotcha, gotcha! OH HE GOT A TICKET?! I don't know why, but I laughed at that!
