Hiya Kelly, I love catching reds, I'm from South Louisiana, I've caught a red with 68 spots on it, I have to say it was a bull red, it weighed 46 pounds, and boy did it put up a fight. I did release it, but I caught it in White Lake, if you ever go fishing there you might be able to catch it 😉, we fish with shrimp and it works every time. Watched your recent post catching red fish. I have a fish marinade that everyone says is gourmet: !/4 cup olive oil, 1 tsp garlic powder, 3 T soy sauce, 1/4 tsp dry mustard, 3 T fresh lemon juice,1/2 tsp fresh ground pepper. Mix ingredients and marinate fish for at least one hour. Grill. Guaranteed to please! We always use it when we have red or black drum. We love, love, your channels. Keep up the format your using.

Oh my word I laughed so hard at this video! Everything was awesome but you guys gettin skunked in this one and Gabes tickled me. Mostly just because I TRULY appreciate your honesty!! You two are awesome. Buuuuuut my favorite part was when Jake was looking at the PenFishing pole and said when he and Tyree (however ya spell it, sorry sweetheart if I misspelled) could go...etc., etc.....Gabe said, “I thought his name was Tyrese?” The look on Jakes face and his classic, “uhhh no dad, no!” I just hollered laughin! It was just the best kid moment ever! The second best was when Kelly told Luke when he was bad she could just “waaapow” him with rod and....nothing but crickets! Hahahaha He wasn’t fazed in the least. Also another tribute to good parenting/co-parenting...them babies know you’d never hurt them. Not to say they don’t get in trouble or even get a whoopin but that they love and trust you guys. Ok, ok! Leave it to a grandma (of 4) to come on an outdoor channel and yammer about the kiddos! I live in Crystal River, and I saw the power plant in the background, so y'all were fishing somewhere off of Fort Island Trail, and by far the best thing I've found to catch those Redfish with is a half of a shrimp. I've caught say 8 in a row and then put a whole shrimp on and nothing. broke half the shrimp off and cast right back in the same place, and bam caught one after the other. Plus I've found they feed the best right after the tide starts going out.
