Domas cutting off his hand in the end was punishment to himself of guilt to follow the order, and I feel later on the story he will help bojji in return but ultimately sacrificing himself.

I watched the first 7 eps of this today and I was blown away. Initially, I thought it was from the era of Astroboy, just given the look of the animation so was quite shocked to see it was so new. I'm totally in Bojji's corner on this. He's such a sweetheart and deserves to come out on top! And because I always find it interesting, Kage in Japanese can mean shadow. I love that anime/manga name their characters like this so often. Putting the personality or attributes right there in the character's name. Anyone not from the country isn't going to pick up on the significance at all. It's amazing and annoying at the same time.

@@soultaker067 86 is probably popular in specific foreign countries like the US, because simply the dissemination of knowledge about war as well as politics is quite popular compared to some other countries, the topic of political war as well as Mecha has never been the top pick now but looking back at the beginning when this anime came out I guess not many people noticed :)))) and even though it was popular in the US, it flops elsewhere 🤔🤔 Even if it's popular in the US, it's really underrated in other places In my country most people don't like to watch Mecha genre very much, mainly just watch the isekai genre which has superior strength that defeats all opponents easily and has a super harem cast. 86 is only really popular in the light novel world and compared to spring 2021, 86 is not watched by anyone because it doesn't have waifu material like the Hige soru series or some recent romcoms
