Honestly I don't think Jon is oblivious in Dance, it's just that he is too occupied with a million different things and he views antagonizing the Nights Watch senior members as inevitable given his wildling agenda. They did not even act against him until Jon boldly defects to go off battle Ramsay, making it honestly kind of justified.

I really think this would be great as a semi-weekly, every 2 weeks sort of deal. That's 26 chapters/year, so you would still have several years worth of content, and you would get considerably more engagement, which is never a bad thing in the KZbin world.

The main reason I don't like the Benjen = Coldhands theory is Bran not recognizing him. Secondary is Leaf saying they killed him long ago. Authors notes in the margins of a manuscript are only a shade above fan speculation as evidence for something.
