@MrsLyraGyrl Жыл бұрын
@@blabla187 It's also about the environment. Not just in ballet, but in anything competitive, some instructors take delight in creating excessively cutthroat environments. That's bound to breed jealousy and resentment, which ends with glass in your pointe shoes. Fortunately, it seems as though these instructors, while good and obviously teaching their students well, have also bred an environment of community, fun, and sharing in the accomplishments of others. Compare this to Abbey Lee and Dance Moms. That woman made the studio atmosphere so hostile. No wonder the moms were always going at each other and the children were miserable. I stopped watching after a couple of seasons, but I've seen some of the dancers perform over the years after having left, and their demeanors have brightened considerably. It's reflected in their dancing.
