Hey everyone, I hope you all enjoy this video! The first try didn’t work out as well as I planned but that’s ok. There’s a few things I should have done differently but I’ll save that for a different video. Overall though I’m quite happy with how the bigger one turned out. If there’s something you’d like to see me do, let me know. See you all in the next one and have a great weekend! 👋🏻

Great video! The vacuum chamber is awesome! I haven't seen that done before. If you ever get bigstackd talked into a weekend in Vegas let me know! I don't live there anymore but I grew up there. Anyways great job on all of your content. You're a new age Tinkerer and we all learn so much from you.

As always- fun video- looks good from here- one point to consider- with your layer lines- get a UV flashlight and a jar of UV curing resin from elegoo- Post process your 3d print by simply Panting a layer of UV resin on your master and cure it with the UV light- fills in the voids and eliminates a large reason for your surface bubbles/voids- smoother finish and you can sand back if needed. Get a dark resin to contrast your white print so you can see the areas you filled. Looking good! Keep it up

Awesome work. The casting medium can pick up incredibly small features. In Jewellry circles at least, they get the finished wax piece up to as good a polich as you can. After casting the finished pieces only have to go in a tumbler for a while to comeout looking good/polished. Or close to it at least.

that turned out BEAUTIFUL!!!! WOW!!! Maybe you could do some 'famous' or 'recognizable' heads around the same size and have a bit of a collection... maybe Batman, the Terminator (where half his skin came off and you can see the metal skull and red eye... and you could glue a bright red garnet for the eye), Deadpool, and Ironman all come straight to mind.... but I know you would come up with some better heads than my obvious ones.... but MAYBE you need to build a little more shelf space LOL ... your collection is gettin a bit big for that shelving LOL (thats a GOOD thing) :)

I like the stopgap of the acrylic lid till you managed to get a steel plate made to fit. Was a pain making mine, had to use drill to cut out the rough shape then grind it out with the anglel grinder and a bunch of burrs loll Reminds me I need to go at it with the burrs again, as when casting bronze the steel flask swells so much it's not an easy fit into the rather tight fitting hole i made. Next one I make, I'm paying the extra for a plasma cut steel round with the right sized hole in it from start.

Beautiful work! Just getting into bronze casting and the larger bust turned out flawless imo. Do you think it would be possible to make an animal in a cage in 1 cast?
@ArtByAdrock Жыл бұрын
Thanks. I think so, you might need to add some additional sprues though depending on how the animal is in the cage.

It was so shiny it looked like there was a parting line 🤩😎👏🤣 please do a action figure!!! I've been working on a couple but am having trouble doing the whole lost wax molds. (Cutting the silicone 😵💫) ...and sand can be tricky .... especially in the "crevices "...

Can't wait to see what's next!! and those chess pieces look great from the pours 🧐🤔👍 as always Melt Happy & Pour Safe my friend !!!🤘😎🤙
@ArtByAdrock Жыл бұрын
How are you making the mold? If you do it in 2 parts, you shouldn’t have to cut the silicone
@bartcubbins3528 Жыл бұрын
@@ArtByAdrock silicone - yeah I agree ! (Will do that next time) it worked ok the first few times but the wax I was at first to brittle and arms and legs kept breaking ...then I tried using a wax injector (first time using one)with a different wax and when my girlfriend and I tried to remove it the hands came out at a bad angle I guess and tore the mold...😵💫🙄 It's a shame because on the first attempts we had bubble issues but practically invincible parting lines .... Otherwise I've done a few small sand casts with varying results (venting the hands and feet can be tricky in my small flask) but I do now have a tiny copper Ninja Turtle that lives in my pocket ;) 🤙 and one in homemade tin bronze that I still need to clean up
