Welcome back once again all you beautiful Subscribers , How are you all on this glorious day? Great I hope. Now I've had quite a few comments and people asking what happens when you mix molten metal at the same time and can you show us ? So today over on my KZbin I do that with molten copper and molten aluminium , Definitely some interesting results that's for sure and a one of a kind couple of bars for the shelves. Also today I gave all the steel to my friend and he left a couple cast iron pieces on the ground so I also melt that into an ingot. Now when you get some spare time, check out the link for today's video below, then sit back relax and Enjoy the video, but most importantly, have a happy safe weekend and I hope to see all you awesome People next Friday.👋🏻😁.

Same - Ingot was just a lil guy (edit: i also think that Bullion was not 'there' yet). My favorite early video was the "I need something to melt... so i'll get all the screens off the outside of the house". I think he got locked out of the house by Mrs BigStack or something like that.

I've been watching for a few years now, I think. I especially like break downs, fan mail, and how you keep it fresh with creating new things. I like how not everything is a success, and how you show us the entire process from start to finish. I enjoy the recurring story moments, like the birds and the 10mm and even snack time. Seeing the monkeys is a sweet element too. Thank you for all the work you put in for these videos. I always enjoy them. There is so much more than the melts, but the best part is seeing the treasure stash grow and what an accomplishment that is.

Big D, I see it like this... whether you plant trees or melt, we watch, are entertained, maybe learn something. You asked, I've been watching your channel for a few years now, cannot remember exactly how many now. Remember the old house though and you melting in the garage. We watch for the melting, we watch for the boys (or monkeys as you refer to them sometimes). I love how you have gained the trust of the birds, some of which will actually come and eat from your hand, that is great stuff. Those crows though, damn them buggers. We get to go to the scrapyard, and we get to see the great way Mrs. Bigstack leaves big, juicy, beautiful steaks for you for your snacks... yum! Nothing wrong on this YT channel!

I couldn't have said it better my self, been watching for a few years since the old house! Love the new pad though, fantastic range of wildlife. Sometimes watch you with my kids, they like the different things you make and the dogs. Keep up the great work. All the best from South Yorkshire UK 😊👍
@msamyweber3 ай бұрын
@@turboz6477 I think that is great that you watch with your children. What a great experience. Maybe one day they will even get into the trade or something. I totally agree, this new house is much nicer. Way more room for him to do things, bigger projects, bigger motors to tear down and melt for us. Each time he breaks one down, and comes up with different ways to separate the copper from the steel in the core of the motors is just interesting. Plus he has a good sense of humor, like the "Melt Phone" which I am sure is a reference to the "Bat Phone" or something. Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm old lol.

I just discovered you a couple days ago. I fell asleep watching something totally unrelated but woke up to your video of the motor teardown. It was 3 am and I watched the whole thing right then because I found it so fascinating. I grew up watching “How it’s made” so I’ve always loved learning how things are made. I’m so glad YT recommended your channel! The teardown is definitely my favorite part.
@Oldskool-i5k3 ай бұрын
O'Oh, we all know what it means when you start melting your own stuff ... first it's just a tripod leg .. then it's the flyscreens on the house .. then you have to get Mrs D a bigger house because you've slipped into demolition mode 😄 Nice melt, it's good to learn new things.

I was tossed out of the office four and a half years ago today. Since I start work at home at 5am California time I get up at 330 to watch videos. I have been watching every Friday morning since then. I haven't missed a Friday in 4.5 years. I like the pours, but my favorite part is the teardown.

It shows that these metals don't mix too well when poured together into a mold. The differences in density and the rate in which they cool determines what happens as a result. Mixing them whilst still molten helps a little, but only where the metals are hottest. Around the edges you're still getting the separation. When you cooled off that bar, you could hear them both physically shrink due to the slightly different rates by which they contracted.

I've been here for a little over 3 years i still remember my first video (of a ladder melt) - i was very, very sick at the time movement hurt sound hurt trying to focus hurt not doing anything to distract myself from the pain hurt the most your videos gave me so much comfort, the asmr quality made them comfortable to play out loud, they are so well edited and thoroughly entertaining with all the little quirks and all your personality that they distracted me from my pain, yet at the same time i could always close my eyes to just listen for a while and then open my eyes again/watch again without feeling like i missed any important "plot" so to speak I'm healthy again now and still here watching regularly, always curious and impressed by what you got up to over the last week btw those crows better leave that little buddy alone 😠

Yeah I’m gonna do some cast iron coins for a midweek melt. I’ll probably put the video out on Tuesday. I’m gonna melt the cast iron and stir in the slag completely and that should produce a lot of sparkle effects so I’ll pour it into the coin moulds with the Sparkly crap going on in the crucible no doubt. I’ll do it when it’s getting close to night and that’ll give a better view of the sparkly effect 👍🏻

I honestly don't know how long I've been watching your channel. At least a couple of years though. We have a couple of Crows here that live in our trees and use the place as a rookery. They are very polite with us and the other birds around the place. They have a rowdy bunch of relatives, 20 or so that fly in from time to time. They attacked a Butcherbird here. I started by throwing things at them, then I got my drone and flew that at them, it did the job. Breeding couple are still here though.
