Amazing video brotha! Tried fishing catalina island last week and the fishing is no where as good as it was when u were filming. Do you recommend 22nd landing as a go-to catalina island fishing landing?

Thanks man! I 100% recommend the Pursuit out of 22nd landing. The Captain does a good job working hard to find fish to catch. The Pursuit has been catching them this year too! Check out their instagram (Pursuit sportfishing)! They've been catching big yellows, white bass, and halibut!

I like an 8ft medium heavy for throwing live sardines. In this video i was using a Bass Swimbait rod (8ft Heavy) and it probably wasn't the right choice lol. The Californian rods from Turner's is a good choice

You have skills that will allow you to become a good fisherman. Bait selection and casting are what I noticed. As you are aware your set up was right for Calico's but not Yellowtail. Islander Sportfishing produces a lot of great videos on tackle selection if you are looking for guidance. 😊
