If I were in OP's shoes like OP in the last story I'd tell the "mother" that if she even thinks about stepping one foot out the door with the ring in hand I will call the police and report the ring stolen. The ring was meant for OP, not the "mother". It doesn't matter that the gold comes back in the end. The ring has *sentimental* value, which makes it way to valuable to get rid of.

Story 4: OP wouldn’t be held accountable for trashing the store if 1: Store failed to collect keys from OP after firing them. 2: Store failed to change alarm code or change locks to keep out OP. 3: Store cannot prove OP was responsible for the destruction or was even there (ie catching OP’s face while trashing the place on camera, etc.). Though it’s best to consider suing for wrongful termination, or do what OP did (which was pretty good). We had a disgruntled former employee who trashed a place where I worked, and the cops didn’t make an arrest nor did the DA press charges due to “lack of evidence”. When our boss talked to a lawyer, he told him the same thing.

Story 4: The OP should contact the labor board since it sounds like the company may have failed to pay the OP the final paycheck. Edit: The OP could also sue for wrongful termination assuming that the OP wants the job back

The original poster in that last story needs to put her foot down and tell her mom that she is not to take that ring and if she does and she has grounds to call the police on her mother. Hopefully that'll be enough to get the mother to back off but if it doesn't and the original poster needs to call the police and file charges.

I will say the guy with the bulled, who doesn't like his siblings girlfriend, because of her hair. I will say that I was harassed by a woman with black hair and for a time every instance I saw a woman with dark hair in the grocery store it would cause a fear response and I would stare at the woman long enough for her to look uncomfortable, while I made sure she wasn't the neighbor. Therapy isn't cut-and-dry, a one-size-fits-all or something you can get over so easily. She could really be causing a fear response everytime he sees her. And while I think he shouldn't bully her, and if you said that he was suffering from PTSD maybe his family would be more sympathetic to how he's feeling everytime he sees that hairstyle. I'm just saying they should as his family give how he's feeling more well just more instead of belittling it and telling him to get over it, or just go back to therapy.

For Story #2: There was a girl I used to know and she told me there was one time she got pulled over on her birthday and the Officer who pulled her over asked for her license and registration the officer looked at her License then he asked her if that day was her birthday she said yes and the officer said that she was in luck because he had a policy of not giving tickets to people on their Birthdays.

As someone who has worked in Guest Relations, I can't help but question the validity of the first story. When you book and pay through a 3rd party company(I'll use 3PC for short), the hotel doesn't have access to your card info. First you pay the 3PC, and then the 3PC pays the hotel using the 3PC's card. Furthermore, while I can't speak for EVERY hotel, but you usually can't see the whole card# anyway, just the last 4 digits for the safety and security of the guest. You also can't just use the card on file to book another room, because the computer is programed to ensure you can't autofill that in like you can with the rest of the guest info, to ensure the prevention of fraud just like this. If OP really works in the hotel industry, then they should know all this. Now, it is very possible that Scooter is writing down the card info as they're being given to him by the guest, but as this story claims he works at the front desk, that means the guest would be watching him do this which is hard to believe. I suppose he *could* book them over the phone, but usually when you call a hotel to book a room, 95% of the time you're talking to a reservations agent who isn't physically at the hotel. Also, you don't just give your card# when you book/pay for a room. You also give out security info that can be used to verify your identity, which doesn't have to match the billing info if you're booking over the phone. Booking over the phone does NOT require a billing address, and this I know to be true for not just my own company, as I've never had to provide a billing address when paying for anything over the phone. While you DO provide your billing address when paying online, it's separate from the security info on the reservation and can't be seen by the front desk or reservations. In order for this story to work, Scooter would have to take the reservation over the phone, write down the whole card number, expiration date, CVC, convince the guest to give him their billing address, and somehow not get caught by fellow hotel staff, guests going in and out the front door, or the security camera pointed directly at the front desk. And no, he couldn't do this from the back room, as he'd have to confirm on the front desk computer that the room is available and book it right then and there. He'd also have to pray the the guest giving him all their info doesn't notice how many times he pauses to write their info down.

It's insulting because you're implying we have the mental capacity of a 3-year-old who can't take constructive criticism and don't want to actually improve our work. Or that we can't just shrug and say, "Well, you don't have to wear it then."

While I won't coddle someone I would have simply said I didn't like the design. To be honest some people just over react to negative comments and I don't think calling something ugly is constructive criticism. Constructive criticism is something along the lines of these colors don't go well together or that shape looks off center. Pointing out perceives flaws so that the artist can improve. If I had constructive criticism that would help someone improve their art I'd give it sharing both the flaws and the positives otherwise I prefer to say I don't like it/ it not to my interests because not everyone is going to like everything other people like. Different interests for different people. That said the Karen overstepped. At most she should have objected on op's post. If it's possible op should sur her for emotional distress to try and correct such behavior but I don't know if this is severe enough for a lawsuit to come to anything

I think this is because I am "weird," but I would have been happier with my husband saying I looked "weird" with makeup than I would be if he said I looked beautiful. If he said the latter, I would feel like I NEEDED makeup to make him truly happy to look at me.
