You DO understand that Ashley isn't suppose to be able to run through a narrow staircase when there's 4 enemies blocking her way, RIGHT? You're suppose to keep yourself between her an the enemies, because she can't outfight inhuman monsters and you're suppose to keep them away from her.

@@waifurunstv Enemies are more aggressive and Ashley realisticly can't run as fast as Leon. The game even points this out when she says "can we take a break?" and Leon says "sorry, gotta keep moving", as well as the cutscene where they run into Cabin and Ashley is visibly out of breath while Leon is fine. Also how Leon can enter the library after you have played through the Ashley section and can run through it much faster. On the flipside, og Ashley can't move is she is hunkered down, remake Ashley can and typically makes her way to your back if possible.

Coming from watching Elden Ring bingos its awesome to see bingos happening in other games too. You guys should do an RE game that has a chapter select since it really feels like it can snowball really hard when someone gets ahead. Or maybe someone can make a mod to add chapter select to RE4R. Would love to see this done with something like RE Outbreak or RE5.

Yeah, too many achievements here are based on main story stuff that even a 2 minute lead snowballs hard if the other person did mercenaries or something. In race 1, trance sniped the medallions, 2 merchant squares, 2x Ashley and mice and he'd have absolutely bodied waifu if he hadn't overlooked the tripwire thing. If trance had noticed the tripwire kill, he'd have had 10 to 3 after Ashley, so he could've sold everything and got the special upgrade and done two mercenaries to win 13-3 or something insane since he wouldn't have had to waste 30 minuts to knife Mendez. RE5 or RE6 definitely would fit this format better, or even just having 3 starting save files premade for village, castle and island so if one person does a bunch of side stuff, they can just start at the castle if the other person is too ahead in the village to be worth it.

@@youtube-kit9450 Ya I was brainstorming a bit after leaving my comment where I also thought having multiple premade save files at the beginning of each chapter with specific load outs (which I'm sure with mods shouldn't be hard to do) would fit the format really well. If there was a way to save picked up items in between saves that would actually even be better as you can strategize between prepping your load out before going for bingo achievements. This is the kind of stuff only modders could handle as its way out of my depth but it I think it would make for more amusing races.

Yeah, doing mercs first seems like a complete newb trap. Since nearly every achievement is based on the main game, rushing through that quickly and sniping a lot of easy/doable ones while saving at stuff like before the savage mutt or knife Mendez seems the way to go. If you have like, 10 done you always still can do a quick round of mercs in 5 minutes later on. Like, in race 1, trance got the medallions, 2 merchant squares, 2x Ashley and mice easily and he'd have absolutely bodied you if he hadn't overlooked the tripwire thing since then trance got stuck on the knifing Mendez thing and wasted oodles of time instead of probably having an easier time just continuing the story. And uhtrance doing the merc thing before harpoon red9 and lunker bass absolutely lost him the race. Int his challenge in general, things that are super specific and difficult seem barely worth it and it snowballs quickly when you have a small lead.

Are you able to do like a chapter select? Such as castle first? That way the whole card doesnt have to be linear and adds to the potential outcomes? I've watched a couple vids and I'm still not quite sure

Agreed. Otherwise, the one getting ahead in the story basically wins every time since in difference to e.g. Botw, RE4R simply isn't open-ended enough for it. Trance got the mice, 2 merchants, 2 Ashley, harpoons and would've absolutely bodied waifu like, 13-3 or something ridiculous solely because waifu went mercs first. Same way, uhtrance did the one round of mercs to get 2 merc tiles, but lost lunker bass, harpoon and red9 because he did it before Del Lago and then consistently lagged behind. Maybe do village, castle and island checkpoints with an agreed-upon inventory (what's about a reasonable inventory to have). Otherwise, the merc/side stuff basically is worthless to a run aside from a closer when the person far ahead has like, 11-12 done. I don't mind "sucker squares" (like, the charm one is a very obvious one cuz you have to spend like 10-15 minutes just to get that one), but this setup turns basically every side square into a sucker square. Chapter selects, even just village/castle/island would imo greatly alleviate this since now, it's not just "oh he's faster I lost" but strategy begins with the starting point, how long to try to go for side things, and when to let the cost be sunk and go to another checkpoint to start gathering there.

I got an idea for a l4d1 / l4d2 run: make every enemy a boomer, EVERY ENEMY, and when they puke on you, theyll summin a horde, but that horde will be more boomers, and make the vomit effect last like 5 seconds to make it even more chaotic
