I saw The Doobie Brothers in November 1980 at the Carolina Coliseum in Columbia, SC. They opened the concert with this, then went into Take Me in Your Arms. Louisiana's LeRoux opened.

I wish someone would bring back the fiery gong in live concerts. I saw Hartman do it for the first time on What's Happening and have loved it ever since.

Ron Hall This is from February 22, 1979. The band actually split March, after the tour of Japan/Hawaii.

The drummers are Bobby LaKind on congas (in the middle), John "Mad Hatter" Hartman on the left, and a clean-shaven Keith Knudsen on the right.

Time between Doobies with Tommy and Doobies with what's his face.....uh.....oh yeah; Michael

No time between -- they overlapped. Although Michael was in the band for this concert and Tom was out, Tom was with the band when they released I Cheat the Hangman and China Grove.
