Thank you for all the valuable info on spinning reels I just picked up the okuma 8k love it, when I was looking for spinning reels I kept comparing them to the 8k lol so I bought it lol thank you for help

I picked them up for big sharks and rays from the beach, I was looking for line capacity and a good drag system, going to throw them on some 12ft rods and see what happens lol

Hard to beat that price! When it first came out it was only $89.99! For insanely strong rods i use the 12ft Rockaway HD Rods. Around $155(?) and rated up to 16oz. @@steverede4202

I got a pair of ugly stik big water 12 rated up to 6oz , I also have a pair of regular ugly stik 12ft lol I have always liked ugly stik lol my wife likes okuma rods she has a set of pink SST lol the pink ones lol

Haven't tried any of their mag-sealed units. Yet. More attracted to how easy it turns to the drag stack itself.
