Great to see you out there giving it a go Bruce. Cheeks look a little flushed after the whisky tasting……I expect that was a little windburn though😅

Nice to get on the road in good weather. I'm from BC but in Thailand the last 14 +/- years, but seeing Mt Shasta again brings back memories. Maybe you'll take us to the coast one day, And that feeling - the one you get when your sleeping options aren't panning out and the dread of having to go ride in the dark on a mission. Turned out pretty nice after all for you. Cheers

IMHO: Get a Garmin Zumo XT. Mount location is just above the bikes TFT. Use Google maps to plan your route, then transfer them to the Zumo. Makes route planning/navigation very easy. At our age it is a necessity ! Opens a lot of country for riding. Have you ridden the Salmon River ? Great ride. Small loop... Callahan... Cecilville... Forks of Salmon... turn right Sawyer Bar and take the road back to Etna. Best route for that country, mostly keeps you on the 'mountain' side of the road. Road downstream from Forks to Somes Bar is pretty narrow... nice ride though if you are not afraid of heights.
