Hey jimmy, I’ve had a few of these vans in lately with similar issues with blocked dpf etc. and no real fault causing it to happen. After a bit of homework, head scratching and looking around I found the pat fluid tank has been empty. I didn’t even realise these vans had that on them. It’s under the passenger side step. Every one that’s been in with similar faults this tank has been empty all around 120k , 240k . Refill reset and drive on . I’m not saying your van has the same fault but it’s worth keeping in mind as this has fooled me more than once . Great content and I look forward to seeing more headaches in the future . Good luck 👍

Certainly worth a look on my van. I have a Citroen Dispatch with DPF issues; they've been going on for the last few months. I've had flushes and investigations done with the last one being a throttle body replacement costing me almost a grand, but within a few miles I get the P1445 error flag up again. If I drive the van hard, it goes into limp and flags up P0234 and P0299 errors. It's a massive pain in my arse, and it seems so few garages know what they're doing with DPFs and the induction system in the main. Even when it's running something-like normally, it seems gutless...

Love your work Jim. Think it’s disgusting that manufacturers can put timers on things like that. Whenever I need something done on my van I’ll be coming to you!!! I’ve just done a camper conversion and I bought a vw crafter because you drive one!!

How they can be allowed to put a dpf counter on the ecu that tells you to replace thousands of pounds worth of work is a joke! Great work as always I don’t like touching diesels your a champion !

That adds an excellent example to your track record. And, if you only drive in the city, the DPF will get clogged very fast, even with a car in perfect conditions.

Great video. That is a high milage so long journeys ? I suspect those who do lots of low milage journeys might get less. I had to get a new dpf and cat exhaust on my 15 year old car because my system rotted through it was so old ! It was just getting near 120K as well and I would have given you a call. Ah well.

When these vans announce the DPF needs replacing do they stop doing regens
@hadiamrane10 ай бұрын
Yes. Any Citroen/Peugeot that has a timer, the moment the timer runs out, you will get a engine light on the dash and because of that, no more regens.

Great work Jimmy is this van a Euro 5 or Euro 6? If it's a 6 then it gives me some hope with mm vehicle, great to see its proved all the naysayers wrong to as 3 DPF's would cost a bit to replace.

Ive got a 14 plate 2.0 litre diesel jim, not all the time but occasionaly it smokes or soots out the back, is this the cars way of getting rid of regen stuff. 99% of the time it runs like a train no smoke or soot. I was starting to think maybe turbo issues car is on 126k. No fault codes could it be a sensor someplace. It had a new vaporiser last year so i cant see it being that any thoughts or ideas jim

@glennbarker22210 ай бұрын
Just curious as to why this DPF blocked at all? The van clearly does long journeys, doesn't appear to tootle around town, I thought that the regen would have just kept the DPF free flowing? And that replacement timer that Peugeot have built in is a real scam. Nice work though.
