Nicely done Jimmy!! Is there any chance you have a video discussing P0170 Fuel trim error codes, that causes dpf troubles (0-100% in 10 miles)? Or better yet, do you do remote consultation sessions to advise folks? Your wealth of knowledge would certainly make it worth it. FWIW I have taken my van to multiple shops, including the ford dealership, and no one has any idea what to do... but its quite likely their experience pales in comparison to yours ahaha

Even without the glow plugs a regeneration on the highway with high RPM could have saved the old DPF filter and regenerate naturally (driving on high RPM like 3000). That is what I did. After that I changed all the glow plugs, because the regen in the city could not be properly performed because of one faulty glow plug (that is why my DPF got full in first place). And the funny thing is that most of the repair shops don't know that glow plugs in EURO 5 diesel are essential to DPF regen :D I almost have taken my car for DPF removal and reprogramming :D

Nicely explained Jimmy, the oil was black though compared with the colour mine usually is , but mine partially redeems itself on my 2.0 Vauxhall insomuch as the drainplug has a drilling and oil passages, just a couple of turns then I only have to wait a couple of minutes to drain it without getting it all down me .(That happens when I empty the drain can 😂😂) But the oil filter is in a stupid position at the oil pump and I have to watch out for it missing the little chute I made out of Baco foil and cardboard and going over the CV joint boot . .Ah well...😊😊

There's a mass of people that take free advice and information and treat it like they've received a service in which they've paid for. These are stupid people. It's a shame because it creates a negative feeling between mechanic and customer. You're probably at a stage in the business that you'd expand to a large unit and have staff. People should come to you and do the running around, you work on cars in a comfortable setting and have employees that you oversee etc. Or if that isn't possible then you might need to slow down and revert back to the former model of booking a few jobs in. Don't give advice unless it is a long term customer. You're videos are very informative and you seem to explain in plenty of detail what goes on. As for negative reviews, I wouldn't worry too much about that, usually people that give out negative views will do it over nothing and it would be obvious that they're idiots. You're success from KZbin is most likely because of your likeable nature. You seem professional.most videos don't come across like that to be honest. It seems like a good problem to have 😂. Regards the phone, maybe get a second phone and give the number to good customers.

Hi! My ford ecosport 2021 diesel static regeneration failed at 85-90% most of the time. I have heard from someone that to make the regeneration successful, the soot % should be at 20%. My car soot % is at 59%. What should I do? There is no fault code on DTC except DPF soot accumulation which I cleared earlier and then start regeneration. Any advice or suggestions ?

What happen if you clean dpf from the other sensor ? Upstream instead of downstream? Just paid someone watching him doit downstream

I have a Hyundai Tucson 2019 that was bought brand new. Due to COVID, the car wasn't driven very much - for 5 years about 24.500km only during summer. Besides that, at around 5.000km the car started receiving an error that says: Check system exhaust. This error would put the car into safe mode - acceleration would be reduced by a lot. Also, the light for Urea would blink. After restarting the car, the error would be gone. Nevertheless, it would reappear after a few hundred kilometers. After a while, a check engine light would also appear with an error P2003. That is how I found your video, after searching the error: kzbin.info/www/bejne/foOodJ13fbmdeKM With the knowledge from your videos, I've gone to several official Hyundai services in Serbia, but they were all pointing out to DPF and saying you need to change DPF that would cost about 5.000£. After asking them about whether the DPF is the cause or the consequence, they couldn't tell me. I also asked them about potential crystals in the adblue pump, about NOx sensors, no answer. They even said, even if we change DPF they aren't sure this would resolve the problem. To summarize, basically I don't have anyone here left who I could ask about this problem and based on your videos DPF is usually the consequence, and either faulty NOx or crystallized ablue pump is the cause. P.S. I've checked the NOx sensor with an OBD and the readings seem right, based on your explanation from videos. On the other hand, adblue crystallization, I didn't check, but I'm pretty sure that here the problem lies, because the car isn't driven very much and also is parked outside - during winter which is a possibility for adblue crystallization. So based on this, I wanted to ask, did anyone had any similar issue or has a suggestion what should I do?

Bet he was happy with that result 😁. Been watching these vids for a while now and I'm impressed with your methodical approach to fault finding. Also, I know you use the Euro tab 3 which is obviously a great bit of kit. But can you recommend a cheaper launch product that's still capable of doing tasks such as adblue resets/priming, dpf regen/replacements ETC, egr replace/learning and all those other common jobs. I notice a lot of the models don't give very good access to detailed live data. What do you think of the X431 pro3s+ v5.0? Thanks

I suspect this was under warranty and the garage was potentially terrified about the DPF replacement cost under warranty. If they had put it up in the air, they would have seen the main issue.. Maybe they did, but did not want to pay!!!! Shocking service..

The money he saved not going to more garages and getting a DPF can be used for the flywheel and clutch when it needs and still save a fortune thanks to jimmy. You need to tell the customers on the booking form and in the videos a box of chocolate is welcome.

Don't try it. Don't waste your money. It doesn't clean anything. I connected my car to this machine for 2 hours. Waste of time and money. I paid 160 euros.

Yes Only if the leak is in a section that is before the Pressure Sensor Pipe.

it surprises me that in 2024 that garages can't fix these DPF /AD BLUE /EMMISIONS faults that have been around a few years now .

90% of garages don't have a clue about diagnostics. If the computer doesn't say the exact fault, they're screwed! They just start firing the parts cannon.

Hey guys... Cleaned our pipe like you, put cleaner down the pipe like you. Cake to start the van and it won't start, hydrolocked with cleaner, burnt out my starter motor and had to be recovered ?

You need to do these vehicles with the engine run or it will back fill into the cylinders and hydro lock the engine

Adblue is primarily urea or CO(NH2)2, which breaks down to ammonia (NH3). It is the ammonia that is the main reactant that neutralizes NOx. The fact you can smell ammonia is an indicator that the product contains the primary reactant, if you can't smell ammonia then then the product contains far too much water.
