I know a lot of people have asked me too the link to my data, so heres the 5000 highest rated players! I'd have linked the full 20,000, but any more than that seems to crash chrome?!? My best youth player I scouted this year was a Trinidad striker called Dexter Daniels, found him at 58 and got him up to 90 and a Balon Dor win by the middle of season 6. That was a great career mode, managed Tramere with ASAP Rocky as the AI Chairman and he told me to scout in Rihanna's homeland where I found Dexter :)

Hey lol, I'm from Trinidad, and it's a great scouting location. I've found a £4.2M RW there. He's currently 81 overall after a season and a half. But Rihanna is from Barbadoes. Caribbean neighbours bout different countries. I believe Barbados is in the game, so give it a go.

Gotta say, based on the data seen on this video, I’m increasingly convinced that the youth academy generation odds by country are all exactly the same. I suspect that if you were able to increase sample size to an absurdly large number (say, 20,000 players per nation), the average potentials would all be almost exactly the same across nations.

Then it would be a really big coincidence that the top 10 is all European. I think they have a general average potential range for every continent, and the countries in each continent have an average potential that is somehow linked to how good the nations/players from each nation is. That would explain why France is the best in Europe and San Marino is last. It would also explain why South American teams like Argentina and Brazil have so bad average potentials despite being top teams with good players.

I always go 1. Home league nation. 2. Brazil/Argentina. 3 Random nation just for kicks.

How do you know the difference isn't in the normal margin of error and essentially random?

@@Bender040 I have a master's in statistics. The sample size is not large enough. Or, I should say, maybe not large enough, depending on how the data is distributed. Thank you, Captain Dunning Kruger. Even so, there are statistical tools to analyze this data properly that weren't used. And tools that will tell you if the variance is within the margin of error. Statisticians don't just guesstimate or eyeball things.

Best country to scout for me has been Honduras. I don't know if there's anything to this but I've gotten like 20 or so players in different playthroughs that have reached well over 90. Probably one of my favorites was Hugo Villa, he was a cm defensive playmaker and he had so many play styles. Tiki taka +, incisive pass, pinged pass, slide tackle and anticipate. This guy ended up being such a beast later in the career mode and was regularly putting up 20+ assists a season, 10+ goals, and was winning me the ball back in midfield constantly (he had a intercept stat of 98 at his peak).

I appreciate the data tracking and informing us. I love learning about how this new scouting system work. I feel nothing is different but would be curious if there could ever be a video for each continent and a depth of the top 10 nations and the worst nation to scout on that continent. I know your busy though and I probably still stick to scouting whenever I feel best but knowing the data somehow would be interesting to know 👀

As a Malawian it hurts to see us at the bottom of most of these rankings. I guess it is to be expected though. I was so surprised and really happy when I found out that they were even in the game in the first place. I have just started making a Malawian Only Career mode in EFL league 2. (Haven't even played 1 match yet) It'll be interesting to see if these results are accurate or not (at least for Malawi) There are only 2 Malawian players in the game and I am going to sign both of them straight away for my team. Thanks for the data, it will really help me to know what to expect.

There will be good prospects out in Malawi but they will be so much harder to find one whose really good however if you save before the scout comes back ( 1 day before) you can then keep saving and quitting until you get one whose like 1.1 million £ or above there the good ones go for like 1.2/1.4 or above and your on the money for a good prospect

Hey friend if it makes you feel hope. I have career mode. I scout in Malawi for CM & CDM any play style and got back 2 CDMs with 4 traits each and 95, 97 potential. Then I was able to get a CB with 93 potential with 1 trait respectively before being promoted to the first team. I changed teams after I promoted the players and then the team was granted two random generated players from Malawi, one CDM and one CB who both had exciting prospects!!

You should do a video about their playstyles and if the position and roles you choose to scout are more likely to determine their playstyles

Could you please start putting standard deviations in brackets as well? This helps us to gauge the spread of the data. This can be easily done on excel or python

My best ever scouted player was in fifa 18 I think for the switch, it was a gift from my older sister, the player was a cdm but all his star were out of this world. In the technical page everything was over 70, but most of his stats for passing, dribbling, shooting, and mentality are over 90. But his overall is just 82 because since his stats are perfect for a CAM or CM he is CDM. Like his shooting would be 99.

Scotland used to consistently have good wingers maybe it’s a history thing from ea but who knows. I also found that Scotland can get you some really good centre backs

can you do this in different parts with each continent so you could maybe list every country or at least have much more time per country. I know its a lot to ask but for people like me who are from poor countries or pretty obscure ones wanting to find a great player, we just wanna know where to look🙏.

Not sure using average is the best way to do this, i could care less about how low ones nation is for floor of talent. Im purely looking for top talent, i dont care what the bottom looks like. Seems like almost every nation is the same lol when your getting an average number difference of around 1 or two, who gives a shit lol First three months of the season brazil is killing it for me, where some of the shit players really shit? Yes they were terrible, but it also generated 4 young players with 90+ potential. Argentina gave me two 90+ gems in the first month of scouting. Seems more like scout wherever you want and you'll be fine, instead of don't scout here (especially when talking about Brazil/Argentina)
