What no one talks about is how runs like this must appear to the villagers. The new mayor of your town does the bare minimum for the town before immediately catching as many bugs and fish as they can before promptly going to bed, waking up more and more sparcely to catch different ones, even waking up at times such as 4 AM simply because that's when they appear, and then all of a sudden waking up every single day to get fossils and buy art at any opportunity from the shady kitsune known for selling counterfeits. I would honestly be terrified at this man's dedication to filling the museum up.

What makes it even stranger is that the majority of time traveling is done backwards, to prevent weeds from spawning So your new mayor appears, plants the tree, goes fishing... .... But months ago this dude was there to fish too, and catch random bugs. And last year they... somehow caught the last fish they needed for the museum? Where things appear and disappear randomly? And then at some point you experience a period of groundhog day stuff, this dude that will some years in the future be your mayor goes to buy an axe, check out art and chop up trees - that will somehow still exist in the future regardless of them being chopped down, but they Will be gone in the past A couple months back this dude caught the last bug And then it was a long, Loooong groundhog's day until the very end, these are the first days when you saw this person, and the museum was complete It really is a trip

Just finished the fish portion. Just wanted to say that sea creatures and fish are in the same area, so Blathers doesn't say it's complete until both fish and sea creatures are complete. It has nothing to do with bulk donating🙂

Great video! The reason Blathers didn’t say you donated all the fish is because the fish and deep-sea creatures are part of the same exhibit, thusly means gn you did not complete that exhibit. Coincidentally, I discovered this not too long ago, as I recently donated my last fish (Giant Snakehead) to my museum in ACNL. I figured it wasn’t because I still had 2 deep-sea creatures left to donate.

Can't help but notice that this game is significantly faster than acnh despite a similar number of museum requirements, either you've gotten 20 hours better or not needing to replace your tools and climb mountains every 2 minutes had significantly decreased the time needed

42:52 That's actually a bug, I believe. It has something to do with the code incorrectly referencing the wrong acre when trying to determine if the area around the tree is clear. The tree dies because there's objects next to that same spot in the incorrectly referenced acre.

So I believe that the reason Blathers didn't tell him that the fish were complete is because they are part of the aquarium meaning Blathers told him the aquarium is complete and not the fish. Basically, he could've sent in multiple creatures at a time and Blathers would've said he complete the collection except the fish and sea creature share a collection
