I like your new place. For the past few years,I’ve been on a donations journey w/the goal to donate at least 50% of my things. There’s a lady in my town that handles estate sales. Just in the past year,she & her team have handled at least 10 estate sales in my neighborhood. My point is when we transition🙏🏽🕊️,someone else will take possession of our things. Even if your family&/or kids want all of your stuff many of them don’t have the means,room or desire to take possession of all of your things. Spend time making memories instead of spending money buying things. Safe travels,Chef J❤️. Everyone,take care❤️.

Thats a smart move, chef!! My husband and I downsized when our kids graduated college. Its very liberating. We use the extra money to travel. Going on 2 cruises this year. Its a different stage in life so no need for a big house anymore. We've been talking about buying a RV too. We are truckers so we are used to living on the road.

I love the layout of your new place. I wonder if the apartments would allow you to have an electric grill for the patio. We downgraded from a large Weber gas grill to a small Charbroil unit on wheels, a nice compact size. No, not anymore (even for electric). Fire codes stopped that in the dfw area over 20 yrs ago. Idk if I could go back to an apartment based on that 😂l. A lot of apartments offer a 1st come basis community grill, which to me is a huge hassle especially if you're not close to it.

I travel for a living wanted that to be my goal. My home I rent out let property management company take care of it . The town home I did what you did bought all new stuff.
