Heeeeyyyy Chef Jeffery, I use to live in Everman and have a sister that has lived Everman for as long as Madea has been existence. We LOVE Madea’s, so glad you found this gem. Try the smothered pork chops, smothered turkey wings, meat loaf and there veggies. I have not had anything bad at Madea’s. And the strawberry kool-aid top’s off the meal! I still make kool-aid. They need some grape kool-aid in that joint…..LOL!! They used to have all you can eat catfish on Fridays that was off the chain, don’t know if they still have it but will find out! I am going for lunch today! Tip: if you go on a Sunday be there when the doors open or you will be standing in line outside😮 Love you Chef Jeffery❤ By the way my Mom’s name is Jeffery named after her Dad!

It is a black family owned business. It was opened in 2004 in honor of the owner's mother that lived in Fort Worth, TX. Yes, that was his mother's picture you showed on the wall in the kitchen. He also has a picture of his grandparents on a wall close to the entry door. Our family always enjoy. The staff is very accommodating 🎉

I discovered this pkace a few years ago when my granddaughter was running summer track. We stopped and ate on the way back to Dallas, they had a strawberry cake that was so good I started humming as I was eating!! The chicken and dressing put the girls to sleep in the car before we drove 5 miles.

Good afternoon, Chef Jeffrey, I can tell that the food was extremely good because you kept saying hmm throughout the video. You are a chef that is very particular about soul foods even down to the kool-aid was a hit that you consumed. I was waiting for you to talk about the peach cobbler. It appears that all of the foods that you purchased were soulful and could take anyone to a time when food tasted like those older people were slaving in the kitchen all day long. You know the term: "She must have put her foot into the food!" I guess that Madea's Soul Food is going to be the spot to go to for good, soulful foods. I like going to places like that for their real old-school soul foods. It is all about the quality and not being a hole in the wall joint when it comes to good old-fashioned cooking. 🍳 😊
