My [personal] projects aren't done with a camera in front of a clamoring audience, but I would never put a time limit on something like this. As Homer Simpson said "Expectations are the first step toward disappointment. " (New sub. Great content. 99% convinced to build a trident.)

Great to have you here! A trident can be a super fun project
@mattw794916 күн бұрын
I'm going to hunt down your builds the best I can on discord (any others) an use it as a guide for my trident build. I've been printing for a few years, cnc machining for a decade, software and controls for 3 decades, but this will be my first printer build.

@@mattw7949 If you want to maximize performance, I'd take a look at the Monolith Gantry (github.com/CloakedWayne/Monolith_Gantry_V2-VT) I will have a video on this at some point, but its still at least a month out. There are lots of nice folks on the discord who are happy to talk printer builds too :)

Wish I could've done inverted electronics on mine. The belts are a pain to run either way, the double shear looks sick.

What's the point of the reverse mounted Y rails? Since we barelly put some load on them anyway.

Do you know if the motor de coupler mod wouod work on those double t motor mounts?

I see no reason why it wouldn't work, might just need to use different length screws

Nice vid !! You didn't explain why you went with top Y rails, is it because of Xol ?
@mitsubishimakes3 ай бұрын
I mainly did it so that my ugly-asf backers won't be visible when I install them in a future video 🤣Xol doesn't require flipped rails, but other toolheads like Mjolnir and Atrocity do
