i Would of tried to get it to work with the CRT tube, or replacement crt and circuits. Replace the computer guts with a M4 Mac Mini, out of its case on a abs printed holder to save on space.

I think you could do a lot better. I think this DIY is just tacky. Not trying to be mean. If I were you, I would install a PC inside instead with the Mac OS on it. You could take apart another Mac and reuse the parts if you’d like. I would install standard PC parts without a case rather than a Mac mini. I would put a MicroATX motherboard in there with the latest processor, GPU, RAM, a power supply unit, and much more. I would install a webcam inside above where the screen would go. I would also install stereo speakers with maybe a subwoofer. I would also take apart the monitor and just keep the screens and all the necessary components that help operate the monitor. I would install black plastic pieces around the LCD panel to make the screen look nicer.

you call that a screen that fits perfectly? i guess we all got different standards but sheeesh seriously... and the melted holes on the sides?! i wont even go there
