iPad 2 is almost everyone has some memories with. Even tho I use pc a lot , I also had iPad 2 for when I was young and my family were not separated. Everyone liked iPad for media consumption since phones were too small and even if TV existed , it was KZbin era. The time when most would watch Naruto and other anime or tv series in KZbin if was uploaded.. :3

Controversial opinion: the pencil is the best thing to happen to the ipad,I used mine for taking notes at uni for years, and even during normal house use, the longer reach of the pencil allow me to lay in more confortable position while i lay on the sofa. IMHO Jobs was wrong

I think most people agree with that, actually. The iPad as a notetaking machine was a stroke of genius for increasing the usage cases of the iPad. Still, to be fair to Steve Jobs… stylus back in the day when the first iPhone was being produced were HORRIBLE! The only one I can remember working decently before the Apple Pencil and S Pens was, perhaps, the Nintendo DS’ stylus… and the DS wasn’t even a tablet… it was a portable gaming console. But yeah… stylus tech has come a long way and the fact that it’s optional might have been enough to placate Jobs had he still been alive. And he was known for changing his mind about things over time… so maybe, if Jobs had been pitched for the creation of the Pencil for notetaking purposes, Jobs might have approved it. After all, he originally never wanted to make phones, thinking that Apple should simply stick to making iPods and computers and, as we all know now, he famously changed his mind about that… ushering in the era of the modern smartphone. But we can only speculate. At least Tim Cook allowed it to happen, and I think the iPad lineup is better off for it.

The technology in the Newton PDA / MessagePad was pretty nuts at the time. The handwriting recognition wasn’t that bad as it improved with time. Its one of the decisions Steve Jobs made that I disagree with, as the Newton improved quite a lot with new OS updates and hardware before it was cancelled. PDAs barely existed when the Newton began development, and their user interfaces were clunky and hard to use even a decade after the Newton. It was so far ahead of the curve it was insane.

i dont think the ipad could ever replace the macbook, unless they gave the keyboard a huge revamp. Id love the keyboard to be able to work with games, and to be more costimizabe when folded out it isnt in the air. (Witch might be weight distributiion.) I Do have a macbook and an iPad Pro 3rd gen, However I keep coming back to the macbook due to its keyboad perfection. Also i just love the touch bar its the perfect mix of needing a touchscreen but not wanting to combine the markets. Great video!

I remember in 2017 I downloaded INJUSTICE 2, the then benchmark of high scale Android/ios gaming on this ipad and running great. Assasins creed pirates, backstab and many more. The 2018 iPad Pro is just a goated device. Using it in 2024 and it's still as fast as it was years ago. Battery life could be better but even with 84% you can get through a whole day of taking notes, writing scripts and stuff.
