Deli! ☺️👌🏻 But the seasoning was rather poor back in the day not like nowadays. Spices are shipped to everywhere. Could be much tastier now with ground blends or cloves, cumin, chili, cinnamon, cardamom, black limes, turmeric, ginger…etc… My dinner toight was the same minus the eggs and cheese, folded with cooked pasta. Yummm 🥰

In my region The Arabian Gulf, before the rise of civilization people of the desert depended on fats in meats to season their foods besides salt until they set sail across the Indian Ocean that the cuisine of The Arabian Gulf evolved introducing all the goodness of spices they brought back along to their people besides decorative fabrics and natural perfumes. Most of the prized dishes standing in our region today are actually derived from India. The western world cuisines were mostly rich in using herbs for they had rich lands yet they did not use much or at all in old cook books like the one you presented here.
