Hamburgers of the 1910 variety actually date back to the 1880s in Boston. I don’t think there were many commercial bakeries outside of the big cities, and getting customized breads were not an option at that time. Bread was either baked in the oven in the restaurant, or what few bakeries that were available only offered square loaves of bread, like the slices depicted here. Early hamburgers were always made and served with toasted bread over a wood-fired or coal-fired grill, as gas and electric grills were uncommon in 1910.

My Opinions: 1910s: I would never buy this thing in my entire life. 0/10. 1920s: That burger looks very decent. I would eat this. 7/10. 1930s: It's just a burger with onions. Not my type. 4/10. 1940s: This burger looks so juicy and amazing. 9/10. 🤤 1950s: Holy Shit. This burger looks gorgeous and so cheesy. At this point I just wanna eat my phone. 10/10. 1960s: Obviously, a great Big Mac *NEVER* fails. 10/10. 1970s: Looks very simple, but delicious at the same time. 9.5/10. 1980s: This is *GOD.* Giant, cheesy and delicious. 100/10. 1990s: A very tasty burger. It's simple for me. 9/10. 2000s: Really? A burger with lots of cheese and bacon? The only thing I can give is a 10/10. 2010s: A pretty weird burger, but not so bad. I would eat this. 8/10. Thank you for watching! 😁
