Matt if you want to try a real deep southern you sweet tea to moisten your brisket while you’re cooking but also use your spices it creates a much tinder melt in the mouth brisket

My great grandmother had a recipe from her son( my great uncle) who lived in Houston. It was a blond bbq rub and butter/vinegar. (Kosher because it’s borrowed from the Jewish people off Braeswood Bayou area.) She’d put it in a pan tightly wrapped 4 times in foil. Baked in the oven at 500 degrees for I hour then put temp. down to 250degrees for 8 hours. Fork tender and moist. I change it up and put it in a large “broiling bag”. Savory and pure heaven. Note: NO KETCHUP OR
