I'm not the biggest fan of Nixon's rendition of some of the other songs on My Fair Lady, but this is actually my favorite rendition of this song, even over the glorious Julie Andrews. Whereas Andrews' version is bursting with youthful excitement and energy, I loved how much more reflective and introspective, and in my opinion, nuanced and layered this version is. I also love the way Cuckor shot Audrey Hepburn in this scene. Her beauty and glow just shined. The camera really captured Audrey's one-of-a-kind essence here.

My cousin Dawn and I went to see this film when we were little girls, this was our favourite song from it; we used to go out to the bottom of her garden, get on the see-saw ( a wood boulder and a wooden plank), and sing this at the top of our voices! Happy days.....

Audrey Hepburn is one of the best human beings to ever set foot on this planet and her acting in My Fair Lady was perfect. That said, Marni Nixon's singing was a huge contribution to the success of the film. Audrey wanted very much to sing this role but after listening to Marni she agreed that Marni should sing. A testament to Audrey's graciousness.

I don't follow celebrities very much, but what I do know about Audrey Hepburn is that she was extremely beautiful, hard working, could dance very well, could sing far better than average (Moon River), she won an Oscar for BEST ACTRESS and everybody who knew her liked her. Young women try to do makeup that gives them an "Audrey look." She is still a fashion icon as her image appears in a GAP advertisement. She did her job well, she was a good mother and she helped starving kids.

Marni Nixon, who dubbed Audrey Hepburn, was also the soloist heard in the opening song "Cinderella" in Disney's 1950 classic Cinderella. She also dubbed Natalie Wood in West Side Story and dubbed Deborah Kerr in An Affair to Remember and The King and I. It was not until The Sound of Music that people could give a face to the voice.

Marni Nixon dubbed Deborah Kerr in the King and I. Miss Nixon was not given a screen credit and was told not speak to the press about her contribution to the film.
